“Beautiful cave hotel in the Sassi.”
+Very beautiful and charming property, excellent location, right in the Sassi. The room was very big and felt like our own cave. One had to go up some steep stairs to go to the rooms so travel with a small suitcase. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

“staying in a cave a must in the area, be prepared for the hilly landscape”
+what a unique hotel. we had a lovley night in this room. its all open plan with 2 bathrooms. Very clean and modern with a good breakfast. we arrived by car and left the car in a parking station nearby overnight and for a small fee they drop you to the vacinity of the hotel. Just pack an overnight bag dont bring too much. Good communication with hotel

+Le Dodici Lune offered a truly special experience and was one of the highlights of our time in Matera. Although we only had one night, staying in a beautifully restored historic cave dwelling gave us a real appreciation for the area's unique history and character. What made the experience even more meaningful was the care the owners had taken to research and share the story of the family who originally lived in our cave. Those personal touches brought the space to life and made it feel much more than simply a place to stay. The staff member who checked us in was incredibly helpful, providing a map of the town along with recommendations on the key sights to see. Given our limited time in Matera, this advice was invaluable and helped us make the most of every moment. Breakfast the following morning was also excellent, with a wonderful selection of local products and freshly prepared options. As a family of four, we stayed in the largest cave suite. While it didn't include one of the in-room spa features found in some of the smaller suites, it was perfectly suited to our needs and remarkably spacious. We were amazed they had managed to incorporate two bathrooms while preserving the ca
