“First time to Lisbon made fantastic by our hotel”
+The building was beautiful and the size of the rooms were incredible! Our view looked right out onto the square and travelling too and from the hotel was easy and right in the centre! Would recommend to anyone, for the price we got, the quality and service was amazing!

−Unfortunately, our experience with this hotel was extremely disappointing, and we would not recommend it. We had booked and paid for a specific room category, but were informed only on the evening before our flight to Portugal that our booked room was unavailable due to a water leak. Being notified at such short notice caused considerable stress and inconvenience. Upon arrival, we were offered a different room. However, this room was too small and did not correspond to the category we had originally booked and paid for. When we inspected this apartment, we immediately noticed a very unpleasant, musty smell. A member of staff suggested that a device could be placed in the apartment to eliminate the odour. This was certainly not an acceptable solution for us. We subsequently discovered reviews on Booking.com in which other guests had also reported problems with mould, unpleasant smells and water leaks. These reports raised further concerns about the condition and maintenance of the property. Given these circumstances, we decided to leave and fi

“Comfort and convenience in old Lisbon!”
+Located in Lisbon's old town of Barrio Alto, Le Consulat was close to a host of great restaurants and Fado venues. The staff was tremendously attentive to my needs, booking our ride from the airport to the hotel, making dinner reservations, and providing recommendations for where to go and what to see. Dev and Pedro made Le Consulat a superb base for exploring Lisbon!
−We arrived from the US well before check-in time, as is usual. While they welcomed us to wait in the lounge until our room was ready, the lounge was a bit rough and didn't have any sofas or comfortable seating more appropriate for an hours-long wait.
