10.0+Helpful staff, easy check in and out. They cooked me a gluten free option which was not on the menu. Super friendly. I got lost on the way and they guided me to the hotel! Everything was as it should have been.

7.0“Character, charm and cleanliness good. Overnight noise not good”
+Hotel was clean, staff were helpful.
−Room was cold (and I'm not a person who wants a room that's hot). Corridors were noticeably warmer than the room. I was also in a room at the end of the corridor (room 213), closest to the church or council building that chimed bells every quarter of an hour, throughout the night. There was also a continuous humming noise in the building that at some points got quite obtrusive when trying to sleep. Bed was comfortable but the chiming and the humming meant it wasn't a good night's sleep.

3.0+Nice place staff were okish
−The room for the price I paid, I would not stay in that room again. There is no car park I was charged £6.15 for parking on Sainsbury's in calne, when I told reception they didn't seem bothered. The room itself was tired and in desperate need of a makeover.

6.0“Not the best”
+Good location
−The bathroom was quite mouldy and had a strong smell of damp, had to keep the window open and door shut to stop the smell . Found some solid bread crusts behind the bedside table when we went to plug our charger in and stains on the carpet. But the bedding was clean.

+Room clean, tidy and good space. Secondary glazing will need a service. Breakfast was excellent, staff were helpful, and friendly.

1.0“A horrible stay for two nights”
+There wasn't much to like about this place
−The room had no facilities for hanging clothes. We weren't able to open the windows as it is a protected building. The bed was not changed after the last person had been in it. There was Mold on the walls. The building was full of steps and stairs and a lot of broken cobbles in the Courtyard. I would highly recommend that a person with mobility issues does not stay here. A lot of guests had dogs which some were vicious and fighting frightening some guests. At 11 pm the bar was closed with no allowances for guests. It didn't matter how full your glass was in front of you, an ignorant barman with no people skills swiped it away so you could not finish it. By 11:15 p.m. the hotel was in darkness and not one member of staff was to be found. The bar menu is horrific and the continental breakfast consisted of dry croissants, brown bread only for toasting, limited yogurts and fruit, tea, coffee, orange juice and apple juice. When we ordered a pot of tea mid afternoon, we were given one white and one brown sugar lump. When we asked for more, the barman looked at us as if we had two heads and gave us one more white sugar cube. They were very skimpy with everything. It was an absolute joke m
