+We loved our room! We had a deluxe room for three people, and a private staircase that led to a cute balcony with views of the water, the city, and Ortigia! We enjoyed our coffee on the balcony every morning :-) The room had a fridge, coffee and tea (awesome!), and the front desk had bottled water, soft drinks and beer. They offer breakfast but we did not partake. The location is great, in a residential area of Syracuse, and only a 10 min walk to Ortigia. The area around the hotel (right on the water) is being developed so it was pretty noisy due to the construction. The owners of Lakkios were very friendly and helpful. Also, Mary, was incredibly helpful with her communication and arrival instructions. We loved our stay at Lakkios and would definitely return.

+Everything was excellent. I didn't give five stars for the area around the property because it is currently undergoing renovations so we had to walk the longer way round to reach Isola di Ortigia (about twenty minutes). It will be perfect once the promenade is completed. There is a little sandy beach five minutes walk from the hotel that nobody seems to know about. We were one of only two other couples there so we pretty much had it to ourselves.

+Beautiful hotel which is perfectly situated by the Marina. Easy walk into Ortigia and the Syracuse catacombs. Would highly recommend the suite. Massive room with great amenities and very good views from the double aspect windows. Lovely place.
