“Great location! Quaint motel. Not a bad place to sleep in between adventures.”
+The location is perfect for anyone visiting Yosemite or June Lake. The grounds are great for being outside and enjoying the view of Mono Basin Lake. The area is very walkable. The layout of the room was nice.
−The rooms are not very sound proof and the noise from the road and other guests can be loud. There are no sheer curtains, so if you are there in the day your choices are wide open window, or black out curtains. There is no enjoying the view without everyone seeing in. The decor is dated, but that may be standard for the area.

“Loved the location and was pleased have a small house but would not go back.”
+I liked the location
−I was taken back that the staff was not very friendly and even helpful. I felt like I was bothering them. I asked a question regarding the resturants in the area and got a very rude answer.

“Comfortable, clean and had most of the amenities we wanted.”
+Comfortable bed. Old fashioned wooden furniture. View of Mono Lake. Easy parking. Liked the Basin Cafe on site. Walking access to local grocery and restaurant.
−No overhead light in room. Small, inadequate lamps. No hold bars in shower/tub. Very small TV - useless to us. We used our laptop for TV.

+Grounds were beautiful and staff was professional and kine.
−What lowered my overall rating was the bed. It was lumpy and too soft and needed replacing.

“I will not stay in this hotel again and I suggest that if you can find an alternative do so.”
+The location is great for the Yosemite Park. There are a few restaurants but the one linked to the hotel was closed on a Tuesday??? One other in this small town friendlies was open but only until 8pm.
−The rooms are basic and dingy with very tired furnishings. no glassware and a request for a couple of wine glasses form reception was met with astonishment?? Attitude from the reception staff was polite but i the take it or leave it bracket. Prices were high for what was on offer and which did not include breakfast. Rooms are only serviced once in three days unless you specifically request it so the impression is revenue first customer second. My overall impression was that it is a place where the owners are taking the profits but not reinvesting .
