+I really enjoyed my one-night stay at Lake View Hostel. The hostel is a little away from the center of Guatapé, but I actually really liked the location. It’s quieter than staying right in the center, and being directly by the water is a big plus. I rented a stand-up paddleboard during my stay, and it was probably one of the cheapest places in town to rent one, which I really appreciated. It was a great way to enjoy the lake. One of my favorite parts of the hostel was the communal area upstairs, especially the small balcony. It was a really nice, peaceful space where I could sit and work. The hostel was quite quiet during my stay and didn’t have much of a social atmosphere, so I wouldn’t necessarily choose it if you’re specifically looking to meet lots of other travelers. However, if you prefer somewhere more relaxed, it’s a good option. The guy at reception was also very helpful and answered all my questions. Overall, I thought the hostel offered good value for the price, I really enjoyed my stay, and I would happily come back.
