+We’ve stayed here multiple times and have never had a bad experience. 100% recommend staying here
−Everything is great. If you’re older just note that the walk to the room is a little long and over a suspended bridge. You can take a shorter walk through the river if the conditions are right

+The room was fantastic. Very clean and stayed cool even without the AC. Opening the doors to the balcony to let the breeze in was great. Very lush outside the window, even in dry season. The staff were friendly and gave me a lot of information about restaurants, buses, the beaches and the botanical garden.
−Lots of noise some evenings between neighbours partying and playing super loud music, or motorcycles and atvs driving by also playing impossibly loud music. I think it's a common issue in this town on weekends. The roosters and dogs next door will wake you up in the morning, even with earplugs. None of this is the fault of the hotel, but keep it in mind.

“Very comfortable place in a unique location”
+We liked the overall location immersed in nature, the balcony, comfortable beds, good a/c, rain shower, kitchen facilities.
−We liked everything about the property. Something that is beyond the properties control is the neighbouring very loud barking dogs all through the night. We’re from Canada & not acclimatized to this, as repetitive loud barking dogs are against the law (bylaw) as it’s considered disruptive to others. There was some construction noise from across the river also but construction noise seems to be common in Mexico. Not as peaceful in terms of external noise as we had hoped for given the location.

“I was sick and went home early so we missed the last day here. Very unique setting.”
−It was a long walk from where we had to park to the room. I thought we would be able to drop the bags off at the hotel but it wasn't like that. It was across a foot path which was very unique and scenic and the host carried our bags for us. So in the end it was fine but a little unexpected.

“If the owners were to purchase portable fans that can drowned out the barking dogs it would make a very big difference i”
+Antoine was very kind and helpful. The manager gave me an extra fan when I asked for it which was wonderful.
−The neighbors have barking dogs and they don’t attempt to keep them quiet. It was too much noise for me.

+Spacious, well equipped apartment overlooking the river in a quiet area. Hosts were great, helpful, and attentive that live on the property. Hiking trail to Playa Animas runs right by the front. Would definitely stay again!

“Great location. Great for Families. Close to all Ammenities.”
+Excellent location. Just across river from town and right along the trail to Colomitos beach. A great view from the upper deck of Boca . Very safe and bright and friendly decor. Ver accommodating to families with lots of bedding options . Well stocked kitchen for cooking.
−We had a very enjoyable stay! I would just note that the beds seemed a wee bit tired. But really nothing that would hinder us from coming back.

“Comfy stay in Boca de Tomatlan”
+The bed was super comfy and we appreciated the kitchen facilities. We enjoyed making our own coffee in the morning then sipping on the balcony overlooking the river. We also liked watching the birds and people active on the river. There was great access to the hikes to Quimixto and beaches as well as quick access to the beautiful Botanical Gardens to the South.
−Although it was beyond the hotel's immediate control, the incessant barking by the neighbourhood dogs kept us from sleeping... followed by countless roosters crowing from 3am on. Some soundproofing would sure help! The provided info about the area really needs updating to be helpful. The costs of busses, etc., were not current and led to some awkward moments.
