“Excellent base for accessing Malaga with local beach and restaurants a short walk away.”
+Excellent location as it's on a bus route (every 10-15 minutes) to the town centre costing only 1.60 euros and with a simple tap of the credit card. There are around 15 very good cafes / restaurants on the seafront (7-8 minutes walk) so we chose not to eat at the hotel and opted to eat looking at the sea. The place is spotless and beds were excellent - two of our priorities. Having a pool and sunbeds made us feel like this was a proper base and not just somewhere to bounce in and out of eg some hotel options in the city centre (costing a lot more).
−The only slight issue is that there was only one bin in the room which was in the bathroom and no separate bin for recycling. Given that we are so focused on separating our recycling in Wales, then it seemed strange for us to put it all in one bin ( and that also contained bathroom waste) so I don't know how the hotel manages to separate them later.

“Dissapoiting”
+The description and rating was somewhat misleading. This is not a luxury resort as advertised. This is a refurbished house and a 'junior suite' was a small room with a shower. The local beaches are avoided by tourists for many reasons but luckily I rented a car so was able to drive further
−The courtyard with the swimming pool is on the main road which had massive roadworks done at the time. If i knew this, I would have never booked his hotel. Also, the local beach is not clean, not friendly or safe and I would not recommend for tourists

+Wir hatten vom 25. bis zum 28. Oktober 2026 einen wunderschönen und unvergesslichen Aufenthalt im La Moderna Suites in Málaga. Die Unterkunft war sehr schön, sauber, komfortabel und ein Ort, an dem wir uns vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt haben. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns jedoch die außergewöhnliche Freundlichkeit und Gastfreundschaft des gesamten Personals. Ein ganz besonderes und herzliches Dankeschön möchten wir an Wasim Murcia richten! Seine außergewöhnliche Freundlichkeit, Hilfsbereitschaft, Aufmerksamkeit und herzliche Art haben unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht. Er war stets freundlich, zuvorkommend und jederzeit bereit, uns bei Fragen oder Anliegen mit einem Lächeln weiterzuhelfen. Wasim ist nicht nur ein hervorragender Mitarbeiter, sondern auch ein wunderbarer Mensch, der seine Arbeit mit echter Leidenschaft, Professionalität und Herzlichkeit ausübt. Unser herzlicher Dank gilt selbstverständlich auch dem gesamten Team, das dazu beigetragen hat, unseren Aufenthalt in Málaga so angenehm und unvergesslich zu gestalten. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen! Vielen herzlichen Dank für alles! ❤️

+Tuvieron el detalle de invitarnos al desayuno por el inconveniente que narró abajo, y de parmitignos salir de la habitación dos horas más tarde. La chica de la limpieza fue muy amable en todo momento a pesar de que yo estaba bastante enfadada porque mi hija tuvo que dormir la primera noche directamente encima del sofa
−Reservé una habitación para tres y cuando llegamos el sofá cama no estaba hecho, no había sábanas ni juego de toallas para la tercera persona. Como era más tarde de las 10 no había nadie en recepción. La habitación solo tiene una especie de burro para colgar la ropa, ni cajones ni baldas. El sistema de códigos para entrar en todas las casas es confuso, no nos funcionaba el código a la mañana siguente para entrar a desayunar. Me parece muy caro para el tamaño y las comodidades de la habitación
