+Excellent owners. They are very accommodating and considerate. Lovely breakfast provided each morning, including a breakfast to go when we had to leave early for a tour. We were, unfortunately, sick while we were here, and the owners were so kind to offer help or to organise a doctor for us, which we didn't need in the end. It is a 20-minute walk to the centre of Cusco. Conveniently located near a supermarket and pharmacy. Good WiFi. Nice kitchen facility. There are lots of warm blankets in the room. Would highly recommend.
−Nothing.

1.0“Disappointing Stay - Cleanliness is a serious issue”
+Disappointing Stay - Cleanliness is a serious issue I didn’t enjoy my stay at Casa de Momo and wouldn’t recommend it. The overall atmosphere was uncomfortable, and several issues made my experience quite frustrating. 1. Cleanliness is a serious issue When I arrived, I found dirty sheets on the bed , damp, stained, and with hair clearly left by a previous guest. See the pictures… Even the unused bed in my room had hair and stains, which makes me believe the sheets weren’t washed at all, just quickly made up by the cleaning lady with some disinfectant spray. Towels had as well some hairs and was unclean (see the picture). The kitchen was also left dirty for several days. I stayed for a few nights, left for a trip to Machu Picchu, and when I came back, the kitchen was still in the same unhygienic state. 2. Poor management and lack of essentials I had to ask for basics like towels and toilet paper upon arrival. When I returned from the mountains, the reception was already closed at 9:30 pm, and even though they sent me instructions to enter, the key they mentioned was missing. Whenever something went wrong, it was always blamed on someone else , the cleaning lady, other guests , but th
−Dirty sheets and poor hygiene: My bed had damp, smelly sheets with stains and hair. Even the unused bed had signs of previous use, clearly not washed , just remade by staff. • Unclean kitchen: The kitchen stayed dirty for four days, even after I returned from a trip. No one cleaned it in the meantime. • Lack of basic amenities: I had to ask for towels and toilet paper. These should be ready upon check-in. • Cold, noisy rooms with bad views: Rooms are poorly insulated and freezing due to big windows. My window faced a wall. Renovation noise from drilling lasted until 7 pm, making it hard to rest. • Weird vibe and too many rules: The place pretends to be a cozy guesthouse but acts like a hotel. Surveillance cameras everywhere, rappels of the evident thing by WhatsApp like check/out, , yet still messy and disorganized.

8.0“Slightly lacking on the facilities, but kindness and helpfulness of owner definitely makes up for it”
+The property was great value for money, very close to everything and an even a shop just outside. The owner is exceptionally helpful and friendly and will cater for your every need.
−The facilities were what you would expect from a hostel and we had to pay extra for heating, so if you run cold be prepared for that. On the other hand it was just 5$ per night, so no big deal

+I had a very nice stay at Casa Momo. The bedrooms are super comfortable and quite spacious. The staff , Noelia & Javier are super kind and always willing to help with anything they can. The terrace is out of this planet. Best views in Cusco and perfect place to contemplate, meditate, have a coffee or simply relax!

8.0“Very good”
+Very friendly and helpful hosts Noeila and Javier. Great rooftop terrace with a nice view.
−The walls and windows are thin and a lot of noise from the street and neighbours comes through. Can be managed with earplugs. The room can be very cold, but additional blankets can be requested.

9.0“Worth for money”
+located little bit away from crowded areas, it is quiet around. U can find shops around. The room is clean n comfortable to me. The water is hot enough for bathing under the cold weather. Small kitchen is enough for cooking. The rooftop can dry clothing.

6.0“Okay”
+Very responsive host, gave us clear check in and check out information. Able to assist when we needed to adjust our booking, or when we requested new pillows since there was a bit of a smell. The area is in a local neighborhood so there are some restaurants and stores for a lower price than the city center. There are also many dogs roaming about, but they generally mind their own business except for one that barked and followed us for a bit. The terrace on the 7th floor was beautiful. Good price.
−Some of these things are not in the control of the host but some things to keep in mind when booking: It's right by the main street so it is quite loud and noisy at night with vendors and traffic. It's about 15 min from the city center, but there is an uphill walk through a tight alley way with cars passing by, which was a bit inconvenient. (This is the tradeoff for a nice view on the terrace lol). I would suggest you bring ear plugs and eye mask, and stick to the main streets. You are able to use the kitchen for breakfast and snacks but we did not end up doing so because it didn't seem clean, especially the fridge where there was food that had gone bad. There is no air conditioning so we left the window open, but since it's a busy street, it was quite dusty. The hot water for the shower was a bit tricky. It just stopped when I was using it, so had to deal with cold water for the rest of the shower. There was also a smoking smell, even though there were signs that smoking was not allowed.

+Super hostel - clean, cozy, great food! Had a great stay at here. Clean room, comfortable bed and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The staff was helpful, the location perfect - and the vegetarian food was really good! I Would come back anytime! Thank you for everything :)
−In the night it was a bit noisy from the dogs and other people .
