10.0“A place for nature lovers!”
+The atmosphere was great, an interesting and inspiring mix of tourists and volunteers! Whaleshark tours organized by Kitu Kiblu are very responsible and respectful.
−Absolutely nothing to complain!

+I just came back from a week in Kita Kiblu and I wish I could have stayed longer! Everyone at Kita Kiblu is so kind, welcoming and fun; when my travel plans changed last minute I was welcomed back as a friend and I very much hope to visit again soon. As a solo traveller, it was very easy to socialize with guests due to the friendly vibes, lovely bar with views of the sunset and the communal dining. The food at lunch and dinner was excellent and incredibly good value - we had a three course dinner including fresh fish every day and vegetarian guests are well catered-for. My room was very cute and the outdoor shower is lovely. The whale shark encounters were very well-run and Luka, the whale shark interns and the boat crew ensured we had a good experience. The manager Betty works so hard to look after everyone and creates a very special atmosphere on Mafia Island. Eva and the reception staff were super friendly and really helpful! Asante sana na tutuonane tena 🙏

10.0“We had an awesome stay and would recommend it to everyone who would like to visit Mafia Island!”
+We were a group of three young people and had the best time at Kitu Kiblu!! A friend recommended this place and we never regretted it. We hade a great time, everyone is friendly and welcoming from the staff they also provide great possibility to see the whalesharks in a responsible and nice way. So all over we would definitely come back!
−Nothing to say just a lovely place!

6.0“Pleasant”
+We liked the privacy of the bungalow.
−The property charged us before arrival when we clearly selected on the booking we want to pay on arrival. The staff tried at the checkout to raise the price of the stay by charging us for transportation we never asked for and by trying to roll the money transfer fees on to us. When we insisted on paying no more than the price stated on booking.com the property manager slammed shut her laptop and yelled at us.

10.0“10/10 All Around!”
+Wonderful team and great facilities! Everyone was so incredibly welcoming, supportive and friendly during our stay, taking the time to visit with us during meals and helping to accommodate our relatively packed time on Mafia. We felt truly at home and only wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the grounds. Upon arrival we were promptly greeted by curious monkeys and saw several elephant shrews as a bonus to our stay. The whale shark excursions that they offer are best on the island (we tried one other operator as well), being not only efficiently run and catering to all demographics, but also very educational and responsibly run by a team that is clearly passionate and informed about the animals. Excellent adventure - thanks for making our time so special :)
−No complaints - we really enjoyed all aspects of our stay, which had much more character and charm than the seemingly cookie cutter resorts down in other parts of the island

9.0“Superb”
+We loved our treehouse at Kitu Kiblu. The treehouse has just been amazing and such a nice experience. We loved to stay private in the house but also gathering together with others during lunch and dinner. The staff was super nice, the bill was a bit messy in the end but that was not an issue. We would love to come back!

10.0“Magisches Dschungelcamp”
