+This is not a review of a stay in the pub, I was in a unit at the back of the Kings Head pub. Good parking right by the unit and easy access into it. The unit was modern, very clean and bright inside with a comfortable bed and lovely towels for the shower room.

+Welcoming, clean, great food and atmosphere in the bar. Great beer garden staff were amazing all round.
−We stayed during the mother of all heatwaves. We did have a fan but there wasn’t much could be done about it without air conditioning. It did not detract from the positive experience.

+The pub is outstanding for what it is. On arrival the owner made me welcome and helped me with my room and was very friendly. The room, which was a cabin outside was one of the best I have ever stayed in. Difficult to fault. The local community, some of whom I met were very accommodating and added to the overall ambience. Great pub, good location, lovely staff.
−I would have posted a 9. However, I had 2 poached eggs for breakfast, both mornings. £24, that's £6 per egg. A little dissappointing but it didn't spoil my overall stay.

“Comfortable stay and entertaining host - recommended”
+Quiet room despite being off a road. The room was comfortable though a bit on the small size. Very clean and well looked after. You need to tell the owner if you want breakfast. I recommend eating there (check with the owner for the availability), we had dinner the last evening and it was excellent.
−Would have been nice to have a fridge in the room. The breakfast could be better defined - we were asked what we wanted but perhaps it's best to have 2 options and offer those (for example full cooked breakfast or "continental")
