“Lovely place in a lovely island.”
+The place, in an old refurbished house (as all Kastellorizo houses, I must say), was lovely for this reason (original polished rock floor!) Position was great, but all Kastellorizo is self-contained. Given the out of season period it was very quiet but I bet, given its nature, Kastellorizo does not become very crowded anyway. Wifi connection excellent.
−The room had been closed for a while and lots of insects were in it. In particular mosquitoes, despite nets to all windows. One window had no blinds (while all the other 3 had!) so it was annoying. Toilet flush button was very hard to push. Just a bit of AWD-40 (or even vinegar) would have done the trick... I had problems with the mattress, too soft for me, but that was more of a personal issue. This was not a problem for me: but the church is very close and, as all old Mediterranean villages, the belfry started to mark the hours at 8am. Better not to be very late in the evening :-)

“Great stay at Kastellorizo”
+This place is lovely! Feels very atmospheric and authentic, I immediately felt like at home. Spacious and well equipped room, great location, very clean and well maintained, helpful und kind host. Will definitely come back!

“Traditional Greek gem”
+Lovely traditional Greek apartment with outside table and chairs with sea view. Good sized bathroom with strong water pressure. Ceiling fan and air conditioner allowed for perfect temperature overnight. Fabulous position close to restaurants but still quiet.

“Charming and authentic stay close to the harbour”
+The room and property are both charming and authentic, yet still comfortable. The room had high ceilings a fan and aircon and never got too hot. In a great location just one street back from the harbour and 1 min to the nearest cafe.

“Wunderschönes Quartier mit Charme - absolute Empfehlung für Kastellorizo!”
+Wir haben 3 Nächte im Karnayo verbracht und uns vom ersten Moment an pudelwohl gefühlt. Das Haus liegt ruhiger in der zweiten Reihe, was sehr angenehm ist, da an der Hafenpromenade doch einiges los ist. Unser Zimmer im ersten Stock war ein echtes Unikat: Etwas windschief - vom Spiegel über den Fernseher bis zum Fußboden scheint nicht alles ganz in der Waage zu sein -, aber genau das verleiht der Unterkunft ihren ganz besonderen, historischen Charme. Fünf bodentiefe Fenster (eines führt auf einen kleinen, sehr hübschen Balkon) sorgen für herrlich viel Licht und frische Luft. Der Blick auf die Nachbarhäuser, Bäume und Büsche lässt einen den Geist und die bewegte Geschichte der Insel förmlich spüren. Die Ausstattung ist mehr als ausreichend: Wasserkocher und eine Nespressomaschine (mit Hausbrandt-Kaffee) stehen bereit für den Start in den Tag. Teller, Gläser und Besteck für ein Frühstück auf dem Balkon sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Für „Viellader“ gibt es zwar nur vier Steckdosen, aber wir sind trotzdem bestens zurechtgekommen. Das Zimmer war blitzsauber, das Bett sehr bequem und das Bad mit eigenem Fenster schön geräumig. Der Gastgeber und das gesamte Team waren ausgesprochen freundlich
