7.0“Good value for the money”
+Big rooms with space to move even a coach in the room and small table, not so common to find in Japan
−We didn’t got the room we reserved originally. It was okey but we didn’t got the mountain view or the tatami even though we were only 2 people we reserved a family room that we didn’t get. Other than that everything was good, super clean and organized

8.0+It's literally in front of the train station. I liked the tatami room we got. Also the small onsen which we were able to enjoy one rainy morning with my toddler. I like that it feels like you're inside the forest. I really recommend this hotel. At least for us, on a weekday, it was great value for money.
−As it was mentioned, there is a slope and stairs to get to the Reception which can be super annoying if you have mobility issues or you're just tired and it's humid.

10.0“Unforgettable onsen experience”
+I loved how friendly people were. Very good energy from the people working and everything clearly explained. The place was clean and the room beautiful. I enjoyed some calm time in the onsen and everything was spottless♥️ There's a lot of stairs and the host helped me with the luggage, really cute🫰🏻😭♥️
−I liked everything about it!!

7.0“Loads of stairs, plesant stay and nice onsen”
+The room was spacious and neat. It beds are very comfortable. It is quite dated. It is very central and right next to the train station which makes it quite practical and convenient. The in-house onsen is absolutely lovely and beautiful, the foot spa is also quite nice. The staff are friendly.
−There are about 100 stairs that need to be climbed to access the facility. There is a shorter route with less stairs which you only find out after checking in. It is on the mountain so loads of stairs. This was the most expensive accommodation that we had in Japan per night and the most dated. The facility is cash only.

10.0+I really liked to stay here. The onsen was great with a very traditional vibe. I had the chance to experience it without anyone else, and it felt so relaxing. Position extremely convenient, just in front of Hakone-Yumoto station. Very good price for the services.
−As suggested by many comments, the stairs are indeed very steep, and it takes a significant effort to climb them with heavy luggage like mine. However, the owner helped me to bring it to my room and he was very nice.

10.0“Great stay! Amazing value! Very friendly host.”
+Proximity to train station and that it was very clean!
−I can see that for some guest, the train station might be too close due to noise. Also, cash only

8.0“Good budget stay”
+Very close to the Hakone yumoto station - literally opposite. The public onsen and footbath were great, very hot.
−But there are a lot of steep stairs to climb to access the accommodation which is on the hill. So with luggage and no prior warning, this was not fun. The natural spring hot water to the showers were basically cold, so cold showers were had which in autumn was not enjoyable. However, it could be that we were not told how to access the hot water properly?

9.0“Moc fajn starší tradiční ubytováni s onsenem, poblíž nádraží.”
+Skvělá lokalita hned vedle nádraží (ale bez hluku vlaků). Onsen na ubytovaní zdarma, hezké tradiční prostředí. Milý personál a velký pokoj.
−Starší lehce zatuchlé pokoje, ale zvládnutelné. Platba jen v hotovosti.
