“Exquisite traditional property with an extraordinary restaurant in a quiet neighborhood”
+This property is a beautiful small hotel located in a historic property. Our "room" was actually a suite, with a large living room, lovely bath, huge bedroom, two toilets, Japanese style sitting room, all with a view of the exquisite garden. Dinner is superb, prepared and served before one's eyes at the chef's counter. Staff is extraordinary, both professional and kind, and all far exceeded out expectations. Breakfast was served in a private room, and it was also a highlight of out trip. Perfection, all in all!
−Absolutely nothing.

“Exceptional for a stay in Kamakura”
+Amazingly beautiful property, super friendly staff with a great sense of humour. Attention to detail is as you’d expect for Japan. Both the dinner and the breakfast were absolutely delicious.
−It’s a matter of personal preference but the bed mattresses are a little hard. But in no way does this affect the 10/10 rating of this place.

+Kamakura Cocon is located in a quiet neighborhood which is not far from the city center. They can arrange to pick you up from the JR station with no additional charge. The hotel is located in a historical property which has been renovated to a very high standard, offering modern comfort with a serene ambience. With only two rooms, the service is impeccable. We in particular enjoyed the dinner - the bonito dish was the best that I have had and a lot of thoughts have been put into the menu to showcase the local ingredients. We also enjoyed the wine pairing (7 wines at 10,000 yen per person). Chef and all the staff are very friendly. If you enjoy good food and plan to be in the Kamakura area I think you would like Kamakura Cocon. I have already recommended Kamakura Cocon to my friends.
