“A great mix of new amongst old. Great!”
+Lovely modern, spacious and clean hotel. Well situated only a short walk from everything.
−I would have liked a microwave in my kitchenette, but there was a communal one in the lobby

+A beautiful hotel, which had great amount of space in comparison to other places over Japan, great facilities to use and would have stayed longer if I could. Staff extremely helpful. Great location being so close to Gion!

+We had a great stay. The staff were helpful. Hotel is close to everything & in a quiet area. The room was a reasonable size.
−We had a really horrible drain smell which they couldnt fix. A bit annoying seeing as we were there for 5 nights. It was booked out so we couldnt change rooms. No discount was offered. We had to plug it up & keep a handtowel over it to stop the smell. It didnt ruin our stay

“Nice boutique hotel in great location”
+Kabin Taka is situated on a quiet side street that is only a short walk from the main avenue and the chaotic touristy areas. You get the benefit of being able to walk to key areas and train stations but still experience the quiet residential part of Kyoto. Our room was big with a comfortable bed and a wonderful bathroom with a waterfall shower. Fresh towels are available on every floor, and there are laundry machines on two different floors. There is also a decent gym on the main floor. We loved staying here!
