“Juneau Hotel a budget friendly, but flawed, stay in Juneau.”
+No breakfast. Location is right across from the whale sculpture, right on the inlet path, although view is obstructed by a row of government buildings. Walking nearby is a delight. You can walk to the grocery store - maybe 1/4 mile. Walk to town is 1/2 mile, a mile to the end of the pier. Good restaurants along the pier and sightseeing opportunities. The room was spacious, with a small working kitchen.
−Customer service could have been vastly better. Juneau Hotel would be so much more desirable if the staff were more focus on their customers. They offer some services, but they are not consistent in following through.

“Convenient…. would definitely stay there again! Hoping to see what it looks like after they finish their remodel”
+Convenient- near by all tourist attractions. Note that most or all tourist area is only open during “cruise ships season”. Restaurants and shop will be closed until then. Huge plus having a washer and dryer andddd a kitchenette in the room. Comfortably- could use a little upgrading on bedding and mattress. Staff- absolute pleasure, they were all super friendly and helpful. Super random but cool ( to us non locals)that has never seen a bear!! That spot does have several bears 🐻 that come out at night digging in the dumpster and just roaming around like a stray dog. One or two of them have names lol. Best spot to see them is if request a room on the street side (frontside of building)
−Old carpeting in hallway- was lumpy and sticky making it hard to drag luggage. No key card or code access to front door after hours. We were there for business and worked over nights. I hated calling the number and waking ppl up at 3-4am just to open the door for us.

“Rude staff, old linens and outdated TV's. Don't bother”
+The layout of the room was different, I liked how it had a separated bedroom.
−Loud neighbors in nearby room playing music very loud, nothing whatsoever offered for breakfast, no muffins, or cereal, snacks, nothing. Even the cheaper places in town have something. TV's are old flat-screen, probably the first gen flat TV's, with no streaming devices, old sticky feeling blankets- had to get our own to bring in, Employees were rude.

“Short, helpful, a little bit scary knowing you might be locked out”
+It was close to stores and restaurants. I was able to get a shuttle to the airport. They helped me with leaving my luggage while I to go to the hospital and doctors visit.
−You will get locked out of the hotel building if you leave at night. Someone was smoking a cigarette and they saw me leave as I went to get some fresh air. There is a sign on the door saying if you lock this door, you will be locked out. But doesn’t say anything about how to get back in. In the entry way, there is a sign saying “dial this to get in touch with general manager” but nothing to dial the code. I call the hotel and no one works at night. So I was locked outside the hotel building for about 15 - 20 minutes until someone came to the door and opened the door for me. I messaged them about the situation and they just sent me “please looked at the attached statement” but there was nothing attached. Be ware.

+Located at a comfortable walking distance from town. The walk is a beautiful meander along the water front on a well maintained path. The apartments had good facilities for self catering and washing .

“One night is long enough. Staff needs to do better.”
+The staff was not nice. Brad at reception was rude. No help, we had to make our own beds and place bed sheets. The apartment wasn’t clean. Very expensive. I think they know they get money easily from cruise passengers so they do the bare minimum. The ONLY good staff was a lady at reception at night, I think her mama was Delilah, or something very fairytale exotic name; she was wonderful. NO AC, so it was warm.
