“Iwaso was absolute perfection!”
+Everything is exceptional! The setting, facility, the food and the service were among the best I have experienced anywhere in the world
−There was nothing that I did not like. The only thing I will mention is that the heat in my room was excessive and hard to regulate to a comfortable level.

“We felt completely ripped off in this dirty overated place”
+The only thing that was decent was the location. The rest was a superior disappointment and rip off. Incredible price for what we ended up with.
−There was no service to speak of. Very unlike every other hotel and ryokan we stayed in in Japan. We were actually shocked and glad were there for only for 1 night. The place is old and dirty. Carpeting in common areas filthy, which left us uncomfortable. The food was awful. We have had traditional Japanese meals for weeks but our dinner there was inedible. The sashimi was like rubber and we spit it out. The rest so lacking in taste we asked for wasabi and soy sauce to dress it up. All for over 700 USD for 1 night. Awful. If there isn't another place on the island I suggest making this a day trip. It's easy enough and we should have!

“Truly incredible but maybe skip the food”
+Iwaso was one of the coolest places we’ve stayed! The location and hospitality can’t be beat. The onsen was so beautiful and calming and the extra spa amenities were amazing. It is walking distance from town and the famous shrine :)
−The food was not for our taste but it was cool to experience a traditional coursed kaiseki meal.

“Expensive but awesome place to stay”
+Awesome place. Really lovely. Staff was great, excellent location (the island is very small so everything is near). It was very expensive though. I don’t know if it’s worth paying that much. It was our most expensive hotel in Japan. Having said that, staying one night in the island was the best we could do.
−The price. Everything else was great.

“Had higher expectations for the price”
+Attention was good, clean, good location.
−They didn’t have an Obi long enough for me and I’m only XL. Food well presented but underwhelming. Onsen was too hot.

“I enjoyed every moment , thank you for this wonderful experience.”
+My journey to Miyajima was a special one to celebrate my birthday. The staff made the experience incredible. Singing for me , preparing a gift for me, making sure I had everything to have a good time . It was my first experience and I enjoyed it. The rooms are nice and clean, the service is very perfect. Thank you for making my journey memorable.
