9.0+The bed is super comfortable. There is a large TV with lots of channels but not compatible with streaming off the phone. The shower was super powerful and hot water/excellent central heating always available. The Tesco Express is perfect for snacks, meals you can warm up and is open 0600am to 1100pm daily. There is ample parking and it is a stone's throw away on a direct bus route to Dyce shopping centre via Firstbus 18 or Aberdeen via 18 or 35. Yes, the keys need to be collected/dropped off from Dunavon Hotel diagonally opposite, but it's a minimal inconvenience as the reception is also open 24 hours. Rodney was most helpful in checking me in with full explanation, even holding a few items for me for a few days!
−The access to the property is via the side of Ivy Cottage to 3 annexes at the back. I arrived at night and it was hazardous as it was pitch black (the sensor lights only work to the side of the cottage, not the rear). The blinds in annexe 5 are damaged and as stated on another review, some imperfections are in the wall. There is some confusion on Booking.com that facilities such as a tumble drier, kitchenware and a fridge freezer are available...but that's in the cottage only. There is only a small fridge and microwave in the annexe. little TLC is needed with full clarification of facilities online

10.0“Ivy-Cottage is very comfortable accommodation”
+The accommodation was spotless, well heated, quiet, the shower powerful. The bed was very comfortable. The room was perfect for my needs. There is a Tesco Express just a few steps away.
−There was nothing I didn't like about Ivy -Cottage. However: I needed to take a taxi from the airport and back the next morning, which was quite expensive. This was certainly not the fault of the hotel, but rather the ridiculous fee charged by the airport for taxi pickup (£7) and drop-off (£7) even on short journeys

10.0+Our 2nd visit here, this time in the serviced rooms. Lovely friendly place with good sized rooms, and all you need to hand. Conveniently placed for P&J with a couple of local shops, pub and Dunavon hotel restaurant all on hand.
−Bed not huge. And we struggled a bit with either being too hot or too cold.

10.0“Big, clean room in a convenient location.”
+Had a light supper and the staff who served us were friendly. My daughter had soup and bread, which she said was nice. She really liked the bread it came with, although it was a tiny roll ,so she asked for an extra one which she was given.
−I found the Thai chicken starter very greasy - for me anyway!
