+The room was clean and comfortable. We absolutely loved the private onsen!
−The only light in the room was a bit too bright and "clinical". Would have loved a small bedside lamp.

“Traditional Japanese hotel”
+We chose this hotel as we wanted a more traditional experience and we were very happy with the choice. The reception staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. We had a standard Japanese room and the futons were very comfortable. Both the sleeping room with its tatami flooring and the alcove for sipping tea were spacious. The day was overcast but the room was still bright and light. The location is great, with good views of the hills and very quiet. We opted for a short walk from and to the station although a complimentary taxi is an option. The public bath for women was well appointed with two indoor baths and one lovely outdoor one with rocks doubling as seats. We also booked the private wooden tub bath and it was equally good.
