“Staying in Downtown Cairo”
+The staff has been really attentive to everything I need and answered all my questions since the beginning. I requested a late check-in but arrived later due to train being late and the Abdelrahman was checking if everything was okay on my end. I checked in without a problem. Location is good, it's close to Abou Tarek if you are interested in trying koshary and it has a very beautiful view from the window. Room was big and I could not hear the noises from outside so I could easily rest. I could even schedule an airport transfer and confirmed the price and pick up time beforehand. Since my flight was late in the evening I was offered to stay in the room for a good price, I sadly declined due to available cash I had but was allowed to stay in the lobby and wait until my transfer arrived.
−The room was a bit dusty and a person in one of the rooms closer to mine smoked a lot so these two situations triggered my allergies; but overall my stay was really good.

+Isis Hotel 2 is a very good option for those who want a simple but secure and centrally located hotel. All rooms are on the top floors of a high rise building so views are spectacular of the Nile and Cairo. Maybe I got lucky but the view alone was worth the price! The room was old and could use renovation but it was clean and quiet from the inside. I prefer having natural air so I had my window opened which let in a lot of the busy traffic below. The room does have A/C and TV but I didn't use either. The bathroom was big enough and had a small tub/shower. I didn't need hot water so do not know if the hotel has it, or not. The staff was always friendly and a great source for tours and taxi rides. Their prices seemed lower than other places I went to. I definitely suggest getting a taxi from them for airport, they charge significantly less than taxis in the street or other tour agencies. The location was the main reason I chose Isis 2, because you are only 5min walk to Metro and 10min to River Nile. Plenty of shopping and food around the building. Overall, I was very satisfied with Isis 2. The pricing and location are unbeatable in my opinion.
