“Relaxing farm stay in spite of arriving in pouring rain.”
+Lovely farm vibe and setting. Basic facilities but very comfortable. All seasons catered for in the rooms with fans, heaters and electric blankets.

“A perfect travelers' stopover in the countryside good cuisine, accommodation, hosts and service.”
+Food at the Lodge was very nice, and the service excellent, whilst we were there, quite a few local residents frequented the bar and restaurant, which was a good indicator. Its location is perfect for anyone travelling to the Drakensberg, and surrounding countryside including Lady Grey, Barclay East, Matatiele, and into Lesotho and KwaZulu-Natal.
−There was nothing that we did not like.

“Beautiful lodge setting in Elliot”
+We love the location of Intaba lodge. It's a beautiful setting. The family room and patio is large and spacious and the manageress was very accommodating with our dog, Jinx.
−We took our dog for a walk on the boardwalk, and there were two missing slats. Her back legs slipped through the hole and she fell into the dam below. She's okay, but it would be an idea to get that fixed. We were also unable to get TV service to watch the World Cup. Nevertheless, it's a lovely place, especially if you go in the week when the bar is open. We were there on Sunday, when it's closed. We are return customers and would visit again.

“A bit disappointing”
+Location
−The room was reasonably clean, but very old, and the bathroom ceiling was covered in mold. We chose to have dinner at the restaurant, but the friendliness of the staff could definitely have been better. In the evening (and also in de morning during breakfast) we were more or less ignored. No one really checked on us (for example, whether we enjoyed the meal), and we often had to ask for things ourselves. Additionally, we were told that all red wines were the same price, but when we received the bill, it turned out that the wine we had chosen was three times as expensive as the cheapest option?? Not very proper. Breakfast in the morning is quite basic. The dogs roaming around the property are friendly in the end, but they initially come running at you barking loudly, which can be quite intimidating. The location with a view of the mountains is beautiful, but all in all, I would not return.

“Beautiful location with rustic accommodation”
+Maulene and Stephan were excellent hosts who made us very welcome. Beautiful location with bar and restaurant on site.
−I booked a family room but this was not available on the first night due to double booking. Staff were apologetic but there was No price reduction for the inconvenience and smaller room. There was a wedding so rather crowded and noisy. Other guests tried to enter our room.

+Friendly staff and a lovely Saturday night vibe in the pub/restaurant where the locals clearly enjoy the hospitality of the owners.
