“Really lovely stay with my Mum and Nan for a night away in the Cotswolds! Would 100% stay again!”
+Fab Breakfast, lovely big rooms with a comfy bed, lovely friendly staff, great location!
−A teeny tiny bit shabby around the edges if I’m going to be SUPER fussy (scuffs on some walls, chipped paint etc), but that is only some constructive criticism, it would not put me off coming again and I still loved the stay ❤️

“Great location, comfortable room, dim light, too many stairs.”
+Conveniently across from paid parking lot. Cirencester is a wonderful town and this hotel is not far from the old centre. The building is a nice old structure. Good breakfast. Our room was large and comfortable.
−Climbing the old stairs gets to be hard on the legs of older folk like us. Lighting in the room was dim and particularly noticeable in the bathroom. A light above the mirror would make it possible to see your own face better.

+Rooms are unique and the rooms are beautiful.. the restaurant was lovely and so convenient being on site.
−Although the toilet was in the room it wasn't particularly private so you can see and hear when someone is on it.

“A family gathering which was always going to be good but made better by hotel”
+The staff were particularly pleasant and welcoming but I felt that they were short in numbers The breakfast was good and prepared to order . Much better than the buffet style in some hotels and there was a wide variety of choice. Rooms were comfortable and the showers were excellent
−Breakfast on day one was a bit slow and this was probably due to staffing numbers.

“Great hotel with plenty of character - but turn down the heating!”
+The hotel is very well located and inbetween the theatre and the restaurant if you’re looking for a night out. Very characterful hotel with lots of rambling staircases (but no apparent lift so maybe some access issues).
−The room was at 26deg Centigrade and despite turning on all the aircon options could not make it cooler. Unable to open the window either so a very stuffy nights sleep. Breakfast is from a menu only. I wanted cereals and a cup of tea but wasn’t available. Had to go for the Granola and yoghurt option which was overly fussy.

“Lovely old building and great location, but too expensive to be lacking so many finer details.”
+Beautiful looking property in a great location.
−Attention to detail is hugely lacking despite the price remaining expensive. The bed linen smelt of cigarettes, (know idea why), the milk in the room was off, and the shower screen support fitting wasn’t fixed properly. Great comfortable bed though. Breakfast was nice enough, when it arrived. The staff are seemingly lovely but not very dynamic, it’s such a slow process getting your order taken and waiting for the food to arrive. The veggie breakfast lacked equity with the meat version, no replacement for the black pudding, and one lonely mushroom on the plate; sadly the poached eggs were hard-boiled to death.

“Fantastic comfy room great location”
+Easy to find location. Fantastic clean massive room, all mod cons while thinking of environments. Quirky details, lovely decor
−Only thing missing was a kettle to make cup of tea, had coffee machine but don’t like coffee.

“Bit disappointing”
+Lovely decor
−Had to ask for it to be dusted - cobwebs on ceiling and a good layer on a few things in the room. Lots of stairs to navigate
