“Great Property with limited food options”
+Santavenere is a fabulously elegant property. The grounds were beyond compare. And the service was also impeccable. Our only issue was the availability of food after breakfast. The hotel has a pool restaurant that we used twice. Once for lunch and once for dinner. Neither experiences was acceptable. We were the only guests both time. The restaurant at the hotel is highly rated but does not start serving until 8pm. We don’t eat that late. What added to the problem was the surrounding area which also did not have viable food options that we found. This was the ONLY issue we had with the property. Beyond this, Santaverne is a 5 Star property

“10/10 Experience”
+Il Santavenere is definitely a 10/10 experience. From the moment you arrive you are in a true oasis - just what you want from a break by the sea. The staff are all (and I mean all) friendly, personable and helpful. The rooms are luxurious, including the beds and washrooms, without being overly showy. The views overlooking the sea are stunning. Maratea itself is definitely a nice little town and Il Santavenere is a hidden gem in Basilicata. We're already planning our next trip back and can't wait to be there again!
