7.0“Lovely but not for rainy season”
+The beach location and eco concept are really welcoming. Staff were very friendly. The pool is a good size. You can get beach towels for the use on the beach easily. The free weekly events such as yoga and fire ceremonies are a nice touch.
−October is rainy season so mosquitoes were very active and being near the jungle we were bitten excessively. My friend had 40 bites on her back alone. The bungalows are not designed for doors to seal so they get in. The mosquito nets are old with larger holes and not big enough for the beds. It’s damp despite the air con. You need to go outside for the loo which is attached to the property but partly uncovered. So more mosquitoes. If it rains you get wet. The beds are old and pillows were lumpy and mattresses slope inward. The bungalow lay out means they are all facing each other not overlooking the sea.they don’t get the breeze. Inside there is nowhere to put your bags so you scrabble on the floor with you things. Outside the roof does not cover your little patio bit so if it rains shoes get wet. It would be much nicer in dry season I am sure but would not recommend in October.

10.0“Tulum is becoming wonderful again - come and experience its rebirth in gorgeous Hotel Ikal ❤️”
+Tulum has had its ups and downs, but this visit restored my faith. Our Mayan Plunge Pool Suite was absolutely gorgeous, the bed luxurious, the air conditioning perfect and we never wanted to leave our private pool. Ed and Sofia at the Front Desk could not be more attentive and made sure we made the best of our time, enjoying the excellent (and included) morning yoga in the beach palapa with Brenda and Chachi, guiding us to the ruins and nearby cenotes and even making reservations including parking at a nearby restaurant. The hotel restaurant serves some delicious breakfast options too. The whole experience was wonderful and incredible value for money. The new rules under the program Tulum Renace (Tulum is Reborn) means now no one has to pay to get access to Parque Jaguar (where the hotel is located) but the guards at the entrance still check bags and the car trunk for prohibited items such as plastic and glass bottles etc, so bear that in mind if you are carrying bottled water, duty free etc.

10.0“Great Hotel Staff, but the Restaurant Staff (and the restaurant itself) Feels Worlds Apart”
+We stayed at the tree house with a pool and that one is simply amazing. Like a little place in heaven. Alan was an absolute livesaver during our stay. AC in our original room wasn't that good so Alan helped us getting a room that had good AC. Mainentance guy, forgot his name, was also such a lovely guy.

7.0+Lindo lugar, perfeito para conectar com natureza. Estilo glamping.
Restaurante caro. Banheiro fica a alguns metros do quarto, um pouco incoveniente para ir durante a noite.
