“Stayed 9 nights in the single occupancy room, at this property in the historic center of Catania.”
+Excellent location - walking distance to almost all the attractions; many restaurants and bars close by; around the corner is the Bellini Theatre and piazza: a 5 minute walk to Piazza del Duomo, University of Catania (founded in 1434), Fish Market and Via Etnea (main historic boulevard and shopping street). Very friendly and extremely helpful owner, his two sons and the staff. The covered stone terrace is a beautifully decorated outdoor space for the hotel guests to enjoy. Room - excellent cleanliness, very comfortable bed, mini fridge, kettle and tea bags, air conditioner and a spacious bathroom. Plenty of choices for breakfast - fresh fruits, yogurt and a variety of sweet and savory foods. Considering that I stayed in the single occupancy room which does not have a balcony, I still highly recommend staying here, if you are a solo traveller.

+The hotel is in a great location. Close to everything but not directly in it. It's about a 15 minute walk to the bus and train station. The staff was welcoming! The history of the building is super interesting. I also liked getting the surprise gift when we checked out.

“nights if you don’t want to spend a lot of money.”
+Great location, friendly staff w/ great local recommendations. Terrific value. Great breakfast. Wonderful staff. They ran out of croissants one morning and made sure we had our favorites the next!
−Very “bare bones”. Make sure you have your own soap and shampoo. Only one flat pillow but the bed was comfortable. If you are looking a lobby and amenities, this is not for you.

“6 nights in Catania”
+The staff at this hotel are exceptional. Very welcoming and helpful. As a solo female traveller I found this a great place to stay. The beds are really comfortable and the bathroom facilities were absolutely fine. The wifi worked well and the breakfast was very good, including fresh fruit which is a bonus. I liked the location as it was minutes from all the main sites and just a 10 minute walk from the railway station. I would definitely stay there again.
