“Excellent location and outstanding service; a small bed-length quibble aside, a great stay.”
+Excellent stay at Hotel Krone in Lenk. The location was fantastic: the start line for the UTMB Wildstrubel Glacier Marathon Lenk, which is why I was in town, was right outside the hotel. There's also a convenient parking space just a two-minute walk away, which is free in summer. What really stood out was how accommodating the team was. Ahead of my stay I had two special requests: a very late check-in (I ended up arriving close to midnight due to a flight delay) and holding a package with my trail running poles that I'd shipped ahead so I wouldn't have to fly with them. The hotel confirmed both without any fuss, left my key at reception for the late arrival, and had the package waiting in my room by the time I checked in. Great communication throughout and a team that clearly goes out of its way for guests with unusual requests.
−The beds were a bit short for me (I'm 1.85m), so my feet stuck out over the edge. Didn't stop me from sleeping well, though: I was tired enough from the trip that it wasn't an issue.
