“Great value and service. Big comfy room & bathroom”
+The host was very friendly and helpful. I was arriving late and he made sure that I checked in ok. The room was spacious and clean, big nice bathroom. It is a bit outdated but tasteful and comfortable. Parking right upfront. Great location.

“A basic hotel in as attractive setting”
+A beautiful setting through the mountains and in a comfortable distance for the Bibao ferry. The evening meal was simple but well cooked meals. The staff were helpful and friendly
−Decor was a little tired and it lacked atmosphere possibly because there were very few guests.

“Guenes hotel”
+Nice hotel, a good location and easy to find. We walked into the village (10 minutes easy walk) it has a few bars, all very welcoming.
−The only dislike was the bed was too soft for us.

“Very convenient for the Bilbao ferry.”
+Easy to find as Guenes is a small place. The hotel is less than an hour to the Bilbao Port which is why we chose it and you can park your car safely over night in the provided car park. The staff member was exceptional as it appeared he does everything, booked us in, bar man, waiter, we used our translate app to communicate as we don’t speak Spanish. The bedroom was clean and comfy adequate only for one night. Breakfast was simple for 4 euros 50 cents this being continental. Access to Bilbao city if you didn’t want to use your car, bus stop outside the hotel and train station within walking distance.
−The Hotel needs a complete refurbishment, it is very tired looking, old furniture and decor. The Outside needed a good tidy up, weeding and old furniture throwing away. The area reminded us of Switzerland so if the hotel had a good makeover it would be marvellous,

“Different experience in a beautiful nature spot in basque”
+The location and the stuff were excellent. It’s in the middle of a national park and 20min from Bilbao. Quiet location with lots of nature around
−The property is outdated , facilities quite old. There is portable air conditioning that makes lots of noise and need to be turned on all the time to have a pleasant temperature. I visited 20th of June, even though one day outside was chilly like 18 degrees inside was like Owen.fridge is available but since electricity works with hotel card, it’s being turned off once you leave the room.

“Convenient and clean”
+I stayed before because of the location: quiet and near Bilbao. Service in the restaurant at dinner time is excellent: the waitress is very polite and speaks English too, charming)
−Although I was happy with my stay, in order to say something: room 114 right above ventilation outlet which is going on and off all night, which is audible and a bit annoying. The bathroom is a bit small and you can hardly get in if door is open. It's hard to extract a smile from the manager (owner?) and cook, quite grumpy in the morning
