“Excellent location and comfortable hotel”
+The location is excellent - walking distance to the main street of the old town with easy access to places to eat and shop for handicrafts. The bathroom has been renovated with modern and elegant fittings. The rooftop restaurant has a lovely view of the city and the mountains/countryside. We ate dinner at the hotel and the pizza was outstanding and the restaurant servers were pleasant and went out of the way by serving us a complimentary platter of cut fruit.
−We would have preferred to have the TV in the sitting area since it is separate and distinct from the bedroom. It would have been more convenient to watch the TV while sitting on the sofa. The corridors looked dated and not so well maintained compared to room itself.

+The hotel overlooks the main square (which can be noisy at times) but if you want to be in the center of Gjirokaster, that's the place to be!. I enjoyed watching the sunset over the Albanian mountains from the balcony. The bazaar, the mosque, the cold war tunnel and the stairs of the castle are just a stone away. The rooms are a bit outdated but it's part of the charm. The big bonus was the car park just outside the door (400 lek/day).
−The breakfast terrace is amazing but the breakfast choice and quality was a bit of a let down, don't expect a full continental choice.

“Erg goed”
