“The helpfulness and reassurance of staff at a tense time allowed us to enjoy our stay in Paris.”
+As we were in Paris immediately following the protests of the 20th October, we appreciated the 24 hour reception and associated security of the hotel. Clean rooms, good breakfast, the Rue de Faubourg behind the hotel has excellent restaurants, cafés and bakeries. It is in walking distance of the Grandes Boulevards, and famous sites.
−Rooms are small, but we travel light and could manage.

+hotel itself is ok. but it's located in a rough area in that district.
−I feel I need to warn people staying here: do not let the hotel help you book a taxi. when I was trying to book a taxi online to the airport for an early morning ride, I asked the receptionist about the traffic at that time of the day. she was nice and helpful, and another lady offered to book a taxi for me, so I accepted. everything was fine, until I got on the taxi. the amount on the meter was 65 euro. I knew it was not right, since from where the hotel was to orly airport should be 45 euro. so I asked the driver, he said it's 60. he said 45 was from airport to the city. I didn't reply, because I didn't want to be left on the highway and missed my plane. but I was sure it should be 45+ 7 for booking in advance. anyways, after we arrived, I told him it should be 52 euro, the driver said 55. since I had a flight to catch I paid. Mostly because 3 euro was nothing, and we usually would tip more back home. But no one likes to be scammed. So we were still arguing after we paid, and the driver kept saying I should call the hotel, so I called. even though calling the hotel would cost me way more than 3 euro, because I felt I should let the hotel know that this guy wasn't reliable.
Sehr freundliches Personal ! Bis spätabends gratis Heißgetränke aus dem Automaten. Frühstück gut. Großer Fernseher, smartfähig. Sehr gute Anbindung an U-Bahn.

“Senti-me seguro, tranquilo e com enorme limpeza e comodidade.”
