+The breakfast was wonderful. Every morning was scrambled eggs, cooked ham, and fresh pastries. The location was perfect. Short walk to either Rialto bridge or st marks square

“Location was great but the hotel is quite run down. However, staff was excellent and saved our stay.”
+The staff was the best thing about the hotel. The young lady at reception was an absolute pleasure to deal with, very helpful and professional. Breakfast was great.
−We paid 600 Euros per night for the triple room but not worth it as the room was quite run down.

“Really excellent hotel and great location”
+Authentic Venetian feel and very central to everything. The staff were lovely, especially Joanna who helped us organise our transfer from the hotel and went above and beyond!

“Very enjoyable stay in Venice, close to all amenities.”
+Very central and close to all the restaurants, bars and shops- Marco on reception was very helpful.
−I would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room and there was not much of a foyer to sit to have a drink although this would not put me off staying here.

“Lovely traditional hotel rather faded round the edges.”
+Location was very central, two minutes from St Marks square, and staff were friendly .Breakfast was OK, Marco was lovely and greeted us with a glass prosecco on our late arrival.
−Bed was hard ,only one pillow each, had problems with the tv , no batteries in remote, and obviously hadn't been checked, the look of the hotel was tired , didn't mind the traditional feel, but bit shabby around the edges. Small foyer nowhere to sit apart from our room . No coffee / tea making facilities in room .

+Location. Breakfast. Canal view room a must. Staff all most helpful we've had.
−Tried to give us a substandard room. A couple of clear conversations yielded an upgrade.

“Had a great weekend in Venice. Excellent location but expensive for what it is.”
+Location is excellent, easy to find and everything very clean. Breakfast was nice and the staff were very friendly.
−The room was small, the bathroom tiny to the point of having to be a contortionist to get in and out of the shower! Very expensive with hindsight for the facilities on offer…due to the film festival?
