10.0“We highly recommend this place”
+The house is beautiful. The owners were welcoming and very accommodating. The hostel was right next to the Nakasendo Trail to hike to Nogiri. Our curry meals were delicious and they prepared vegetarian for one of us. We really enjoyed the hot bath in the wooden tub.

10.0“An oasis of calm in the Japanese Alps”
+Yui-an is a renovated 200 year old silk farm with stunning mountain views. The interior is exquisite. The owners are delightful, hospitable but also unobtrusive. Delightful home-made plum wine and eggs for breakfast laid by the resident chickens. Dinner was delicious, the beds divinely comfortable. An idyllic place to stay.

10.0+What a special place! Hiso, Rey and their wonderful daughter Seyo made us feel so welcome. The hostel is beautiful, full of character and set in a stunning location. Such a peaceful, memorable stay, and easily one of our favourite experiences in Japan. Would love to return one day!

10.0“A rustic haven on the Nakasendo Trail.”
+We received a warm welcome from our hosts and their team. The building is amazing. It is over 200 years old, but it is warm and comfortable. There are very spacious communal areas. The furniture has been carefully chosen to reflect the rustic nature of the building and its location. There is a fantastic view from the balcony. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, served at the counter to encourage interaction with other guests. Our room was fabulous and had a private shower. We were able to do our laundry too. How can this lovely place only be considered worthy of one star?

10.0+This was an unbelievable experience to stay in a centuries old converted home and so beautifully renovated and decorated by such a kind husband and wife team. The interior design was magazine worthy and rooms so well done. The shared bathroom were so so clean and not a problem as they are limited guests and only 3 rooms. Dinner and breakfast was also great and home cooked. Pick up shuttle made this super convenient. Highly recommended. 6 stars 🌟
−Wish I had stayed more than one night.

10.0“An incredible experience at a nice place with nice people”
+Our stay was awesome and Kato, Rei and Sayo are the nice family who made this possible. Kato picked us up at the station and drove us to the hostel, Rei cooked a delicious dinner for us and we had some pleasant time having a sake tasting at the end of the day. The house is located in a very quiet and peaceful area and have a very cozy vibe. A great joy for finding this location!
−Nothing, everything was great!

10.0“Arrange for pick up at the local train station as the house is quite removed from the town center. The owner happily pic”
+Love this property. It has been loving me restored yet is very comfortable. The family who owns and runs the property could not do enough to ensure our comfort.
−Everything was exactly what we had hoped
