+Clean, spacious dorms with new, comfortable beds and nice common area. Good location.
−Don't understand the high scores - facilities are average at best. Bathroom was cramped and had a bad smell. Shower room has an awkward setup - you have to change and hang your stuff up in the common space between the stalls (read - potentially flash other guests). The staff at the beginning were ok, if not exactly enthusiastic, but the middle aged man on the second night was downright rude, yelling at me for speaking to him in English, rudely dismissing my concerns, and then going to other guests to badmouth me. The guests themselves are mostly trashy locals who talk loudly and make noise and mess in the rooms. Be careful when booking here - the place was full even when the site showed it as nearly empty - again, pointing this out to the rude receptionist got me yelled at.

“Overall it is a very good place I like to recommend.”
+Staffs are very friendly and make you feel home away from home. They even keep my bags free of charge when I go for camping. There are many shops and restaurants and groceries around. Good transportation options, buses and metro.
−Air conditioner is off sometimes but not too bad.

+It's a very clean hostel. The staff is welcoming. They have fully equipped kitchen. You can do laundry on the spot and it costs 500-700 tenge.
−There is only one women shower and only one women toilet. Everything is clean but it might be a line.

“Excellent stay in a clean and well-designed hostel”
+We had a great stay. The dorms are comfortable, with soft mattresses, individual reading lights, power sockets and privacy curtains : we slept really well! We were warmly welcomed by someone who spoke English and took the time to show us around and help us settle in, which we really appreciated. The hostel also has a fully equipped kitchen and a large dining area with plenty of seating, which is super convenient for cooking, eating or working. It’s located in a quiet, leafy residential area, with a shopping mall nearby and several places to eat around. The metro to reach the city centre is within walking distance, making it very easy to get around. I definitely recommend this hostel if you’re staying in Almaty!

“Excellent People”
+it was great stay here at hostel. I hostel management people are very welcoming and helpful. Even not know the language, i was able to make them understand what is needed. 5 days stay here was amazing.
−it would have being great if someone would have known English from the hotel management, people visiting from international country could get benefitted. Google translate works but sometime one on one communication could have been good.
