“We were very comfortable and felt welcome. Nice experience for seasoned travellers like ourselves.”
+This is a hostel with shared shower and toilet, but the facilities are close to the room and we didn't find that a bother. It is located in a real Japanese family house which is an experience (we usually stay in big hotels), and the family are very helpful. We made our own breakfast in the morning in the family kitchen which was comfortable and convenient for us. We came by car and there is one parking space.
−I find the custom of taking off shoes at the front door tiresome and in a hotel you don't need to do that but in someone's home it is required. Also for using the bath you are supposed to wash first outside of the bath so we only took showers.

“Friendly, felt like home kind of short (worth the price) stay”
+I loved the enthusiasm of the host, the family was really friendly and helpful at the moment I reached their hostel. The young female host (daughter) could speak fluent English and was so generous to share the local attractions and good restaurants with us, gave us travel booklets so we could navigate Kamakura easily. When we came back after a long day, they have already prepared the hostel room for us with included toiletries, and even carried our luggage into the room for us beforehand. The host's father, was so nice to offer us a car ride to Ofuna station when we checked out as it was raining. Overall loved the place and will definitely re-book in the future, even though it is situated beside the local train path, it was not too noisy for us to fall asleep.

“Friendly and very clean accommodation in Kamakura”
+No breakfast or dinner on site, but a few possibilities walkable distance. Extremely friendly hosts, who will try everything they can to help you and make the arrival, stay and departure (even dropped us at the nearly train station!) as best as possible. They could not do more, and i cannot thank then enough for that.
−Can hear the monorail passing by, even in the quietest room, fortunately stops during the night. The sets on internal rules, standard for Japanese, could be felt too strict for westerners. Room a little small.
