“Promising on the surface, but not quite there yet.”
+Decent first impression and the WiFi holds up reasonably well.
−The hostel feels unfinished. The kitchen isn't functional, and the door bangs loudly in the wind all night, making it genuinely hard to sleep.

−They generally do this in cabo verde. They come and they fix your sheets and blankets. I would prefer if no one rouched my things or sheets. Or at least i should have the option to say if I want this service, or not

“Avoid this hostel if you can”
+The location was excellent to view the carnival. I could check in with a code.
−There are no staff available on site. You need to send a Whatsapp message to try to contact anyone or call on Whatsapp as they do not respond to messages quickly. You are made to feel that they are doing you a favour to let you stay there. The code system is not secure at all. There are constantly people sitting on the doorstep or standing near the door who can see the code and it stays the same all the time and for every guest. In addition, you must enter the code to leave the hostel which is a violation of fire safety/emergency protocol. Ricardo was rude to me, cursed, and shouted in front of other guests. He told me I was welcome to leave. The rooftop of the hostel was rented out to individuals wanting to party and they entered the hostel to use the toilet all night which meant dirty toilets and since the doors of rooms are not locked they could enter everywhere. During these days there was not even a table to work on as they took all to the roof for the party. There are no separate toilets, toilets include shower which does not have its own cubicle. The space is constantly wet and traces of mold so when you use toilet you get wet.

+Great hospitality :) The owner went out of his way to buy me a ticket for the ferry in case they sold out before I got there. Thank you!! It was comfortable and clean
−The place was empty of other guests so it wasn't a social experience as it was low season

+Well located, convenient, felt safe and appreciated Ricardo’s flexibility and help with checkin and checkout. A great simple option to spend a couple of nights, and maybe more once the rooftop is completed!

−Descuidado Cogí hostel con cocina para poder usarla...no funcionaba la luz ni el agua No había ni jabón d manos en todo el hostel pa lavarse las manos Zero cariño puesto en el alojamiento Un ventilador para una habitación de 3 personas, me tocó dormir arriba y casi me da un soponcio del calor No le pongo menos puntuación porque tiene buena ubicación y almenos la cama estaba limpia... El chico que me atendió fue amable, pero los propietarios muy descuidados

“Bé per una nit”
+Molt ben ubicat al centre. Correcte per una nit de pas, està a prop de tot. Bon preu
−No hi ha zona comú, està descuidat i és un pelet depriment. La cuina no té llum, no es pot fer servir la pica. Lavabos justets.

+Molt cèntric i molt ben situat y net.Ambient agradable, llit comfortable y aigua calenta L'allotjament a Mindelo és car, aquest és dels allotjaments més econòmics. Bona relació qualitat - preu. Bon lloc per una o dos nits.
−No hi ha una zona comuna on socialitzar. Hi ha petits problemes de manteniment que compliquen la vida, com ara que no es pot fer servir la pica de la cuina i tampoc funcionava el llum de la cuina a la nit. La terrassa estava tancada. Sense paper de water el segon dia, en vaig haver de comprar. És una llàstima, arreglant quatre coses i la terrassa i posant unamica d'amor i ganes podria ser un allotjament perfecte.
