“Worst place in Merida”
−Avoid at all costs. Unhealthy level of humidity with fungi growing on your clothes and bags (Photos in Google). Cold water only. They treat you well when desperate for customers and change your room at 1pm to please others suddenly.

“Nice but old-timers try to be boss”
+This is a lovely hostal, neat and clean, with a big open space, with very nice workers.
−When I moved in to the women's dorm, the loudmouth narcissist began her war. First, noise all-night, she's on her phone, laughing it up at all hours, AND SHE WONT USE EARBUDS. When 2 french girls shared the room, she turned her phone off but when they left at 630 am, back to the noise harassment. She wants to drive me out of the room so she can have the whole dormitory alone. The hostel needs to post phone etiquette rules so I don't have to call this moron out myself.

“You get exactly what you pay for and this is a nice, reasonably priced stay in a city I liked a lot.”
+Great location. A well maintained pool. The staff were helpful and friendly and went out of their way to accommodate and assist us. It’s also in a great location, a very quaint little neighbourhood.
−The fan did very little to help with the heat and the humidity. The shower was slow to heat up and dribbled rather than poured. A lot of the little novelties, like the guitar and the pool cues are old and broken. The place needs a little bit of love to bring it up to date.

+The pool, low price, biljard table
−Dirty sheets, room without airco has bad ventilation (which almost foces you to pay for the airco). Horrible acoustics: since all windows have to be open or you escape your room for some fresh air and everything is built around the common area, people are allowed to talk/live and be happy. So naturally the sound echoes even if you just have a regular conversation.
