+Each bed has its own fan and bathrooms are quite big. The common area is very cute.
−Beware that if you decide to pay with a debit or credit card you will be charged 3% more on top of the original price plus the other local taxes, which isn’t necessarily an issue but it would have been nice if it had been specified on the listing. (If it is written on the listing then I didn’t see and in that case it would be my own fault ahaha)

+Calm but central location, the owner was very sweet and accommodating. I really enjoyed the little garden. The dorm and its bathroom are fairly basic but covers all you need. Don’t expect anything crazy, enough for a few days in Mahahual :)
−The room was really warm and AC is only allowed 20-6.

“Comfortable and peaceful stay by the beach”
+Excellent location, 2 minutes from the beach and the colectivo stops. This is a peaceful hostel / hotel with just one dorm and several private rooms. The beds were very comfy, good pressure in the shower (with hot water) and the kitchen was a plus. Ernesto and his wife were more than happy to help or simply chat. Great place for diving enthusiasts or anyone who wants to have a chill stay in Mahahual. Not a party hostel!
−I was lucky to have a plug, light and shelf by my bed but I was the only one. Curtains for added privacy would be nice.

“Very central location. Stayed an extra 5 days, Mahahaual fabulous to visit.”
+The location was so close to the Mahahaual main beaches. Met many other travellers there. Ernesto & Vera very nice hosts. Went on boat snorkelling tour, beaches are like warm bathwater. Kayaked. At pier where Sunday locals go. Long beautiful hikes on both sides of the malecon.
−No washrooms downstairs. Only 1 washroom to share upstairs.

“Central place to stay”
+Simple hostel in the centre of Mahahual. Everything can easily be reached in walking distance (bus station, cafés/restaurants, beaches, dive schools). It was quite when I was in the hostel, I was the only one. Owner/Host is very nice.

“Great place to stay in Mahahual!”
+Couldn't have asked for a better host then Ernesto, he was super nice and accommodating. I had to change my dates, room, arrived after regular check in time and extended my stay and it was all no problem, he was super nice and helpful about it. I stayed in a private room, which was nice, clean and cozy, perfect to relax after my days of diving in Mahahual.
