“A pleasant and comfortable place to stay”
+This was a one night stay but impressed us in all the aspects we experienced. The room was well equipped and the en-suite to a high standard. Breakfast was superb and parking was easy. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
−Whilst not a problem for us the stairs to the bedrooms might prove troublesome for large or heavy luggage.

“Hopping mad after staying hare/here!”
+The location for me was good as I was attending a funeral and this was best placed.
−I didn't like my check-out. Apart from breakfast which was included in my room rate, I didn't eat at the Hopping Hare as arrangements for food had already been made. However, on checking out, I was advised I owed £44something for food from the previous night. I was absolutely gobsmacked. The lady asked me if I'd had the food, and after I'd confirmed I hadn't, she then said she'd look into what had happened. No apology. Not even from the guy who was stood next to her (who I assume was the owner?). I was made to feel like a criminal - like I'd eaten the food but was trying to get away with not paying. I was not happy at all and am still not. So please be very, very careful if you decide to stay here, you may end up with a bill that isn't yours/charged for something you never had. I wouldn't stay again.

“Excellent, would recommend and would stay again”
+Great location and suited our needs for a one night stop over. Hotels rooms were clean and had what we needed. Restaurant was good and food was really nice
−Arrival welcome could have been a bit friendlier. Restaurant was really lovely but we were at the far end and the lighting was very bright, not giving much ambience and it was also very cold at that end

“Exceptional Service, nothing was too much trouble.”
+From when we first arrived the service was exceptional. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Hadn't booked an evening meal but table and quick service allowed us to grab a meal even though late. Breakfast was freshly cooked and great quality. Taxi's were difficult to come by on our leaving morning but Hilary went out of her way to try and resolve our problem. Very friendly hotel with outstanding service. Thank you

“Disappointing stay, saved only by the quality of the food in the restaurant.”
+The food was good and better than expected. Our problem with noise was sort of solved we had a meal made complimentary on check out, which saved the situation.
−The location is not what I expected as it is in the middle of a residential estate. The bathroom was very dated, although described as a wet room, it was very disappointing. Pillows were lumpy. Room was next to 2 exit doors and was very noisy. Staff seem overstretched and not super happy to see customers. Poor selection of 0.0% beers.
