+The staff were amazing and I can tell that they are trying their best.
−The place is not very clean and is a bit run down. It needs a bit of maintanence. However, I understand its because of the situation in the country

“Location is perfect”
+Friendly staff, perfect location.
−Avoid the family room, scary dirty. Room door could not be closed. I got a much better room on the 2nd floor, while the staff tried to solve all issues. But as other travellers mentioned as well, the lack of cleaning is a huge issue in this hostel. It could be such a cozy, wonderful place with a little bit care. The private room on the 2nd floor is still okay, though.

“Good staff, requires a significant change to the cleaning regime.”
+Staff were helpful after early arrival. Put me in a room for a small fee. Also steered me towards a reliable money exchange point.
−Very very dirty. The bed I was put in was dirty and had blood on the sheets. The bathrooms are terrible, no working lock on the doors, incredibly dirty all around.

“Comfortable stay with great hosts in downtown Yangon”
+The location in downtown Yangon is great. But the staff are the highlight of this place. Yes, it’s clearly gone downhill a little since the outbreak of covid and the coup. Yes, it could be cleaner. Yes, the facilities could be better. But at the end of the day, a group of young guys run this place, many of them displaced from around the country, trying to learn some trade or business in order to better themselves. I loved the grassroots nature of this hostel. I think you will, too.
−Nothing!

+Only the staff was nice and helpful Otherwise avoid this hostel. At least the dormitory where I stayed.
−- First of all they charged me 23 dollars instead of 14 which was the price for one night on booking. Beware that the price on booking is not the real price you are going to.pay there - In the toilet there was not hand soap and toilet paper.I asked at the guys at the reception and after one hour still the same. - The toilet was not hygienic at all - No towel - What breakfast? They did not even have coffee in the morning and they said they had to buy - The pillow smelled bad and inside it was brown from the dirt. The room and the bed needs more cleaning. - No place to hang clothes in the room - Very bad relation price/ quality -
