7.0“Recommend for a sleep stay.”
+Clean, safe, comfortable beds, pleasant and engaging proprietor.
−Thi motel is somewhat refurbished. Tiny bathroom, tiny shower, refrigerator froze everything. No coffee. Close to busy weekend highway traffic noise that was comfortably quieter after dark.

10.0“Exactly what you expect from a roadside motel but cleaner and the beds were more comfortable.”
+Very clean. Well lit and easy to find in the dark, which was important due to our late arrival in a somewhat remote area. The front desk stayed late to greet us.

4.0“Adequate for the price.”
+location was good. Close to Lime Rock track. 1/2 mile away from an excellent diner. 10 miles to town(Kent) for an excellent dinner.
−refrigerator not turned on. they knew when we would be there. rear security camera on a rear upper deck, appeared to look into our bathroom. creepy. the room should have had a broom to knock down the spider webs in all of the "rooms". King bed was "worn" on each side. large indentation from all of the previous occupants. No curtain over front door window. It was a large oval ,frosted. about 3 feet tall. This is the motel that you first come to when entering a town. You're so tired that you take it. When you leave , you see all of the other motels that you could have stayed at. this has happened to us before. For the region, this was cheap. Didn't know how tourist dependent it was. Most were overpriced for what they are. We were 10 miles south of our destination. In CT ,they drive around the mountains. In VT, they drive over them.

1.0“Quick, and very uncomfortable. I left as soon as I possibly could.”
+Nothing
−The first room I was given smell like cat, urine, or mouse infestation. It was so bad! I was moved to another room, which did not smell or else. I would not have been able to stay there. The room was so bad, just old and worn out. And absolutely disgusting. The only thing I could say positive as it looked like it was clean, except for it. Looked like blood on a curtain. There was one chair which had holes in it. I was actually afraid of bed bugs. It was so bad. I pulled the sheets back to check. The mattress was old and uncomfortable. There was nothing positive to say about this place. The only thing that was good it’s it was close to. My sister, she lives in the country and it was her 80th birthday so I felt I had no other option. So disappointed that this was actually on Booking.com with somewhat decent readings. I wasn’t expecting very much, but this was just beyond bad.

7.0+The room was clean & the wifi was good.
−The refrigerator didn't work properly, everything put in there froze even with the dial turned down. No coffee in the room or in the office. When checking in, the owner continued a private conversation on her phone, barely acknowledging us. Over priced for a basic room with no amenities.

6.0“Acceptable”
+The room was clean. This is the number one thing, and frankly the only thing I really care about in a rural place like this. It also has a microwave and fridge. There is no coffee service, but you can walk down the road to a nice bakery/cafe starting at 8. If that is too late, you can walk a bit farther to the Citgo station where they have a fresh ground coffee machine and super friendly attendants. The beds are in good shape. There are sufficient towels/soap/shampoo once you find them in the sink cabinet.
−The AC is too noisy, but manageable, the shower is very small, but good enough for my purposes. The internet was working when I got there, but was totally offline when I woke up. This is annoying because I need to check my email when I get up. Forget trying to reach the desk staff at any time. When I got there, there was no one to check me in and the lobby was locked. I was pretty miffed and sent many texts and tried to call. I kept ringing the bell for 15 minutes. Finally a woman came out of the shower in a towel and handed me my key card. I expressed my displeasure, but I guess they don't have enough staff the front desk. They should have at least put up a note saying that they will be back in 30 minutes. The woman was apologetic and helpful once she got her act together.
