+It was a lovely central location. Beds are very comfortable & showers lovely. The kitchen is well stocked with all the crockery etc needed. Loved lighting the indoor fire at night while we sat around chatting. Close to Piggly Wiggly & many other attractions & eateries. Just so happened to be at the time the Royal Show was on and it was just down the road from there. The walks around the property were amazing and the views were fantastic. Was a bonus seeing a hare while we were relaxing outside overlooking Midmar Dam and then a lovely surprise when we saw a Duiker on our way to the house on the Saturday afternoon. Saw a few monkeys around but not the common grey ones. Lovely & peaceful & relaxing. Take the dirt road slowly then you don't have any problems.

“Beautifully decorated farmhouse near Midmar, nice but noisy.”
+Lovely large open space, not far from Midmar Dam. Beautifully decorated, comfortable.
−Plumbing pressure not working well, only one tap in the house can work at a time, despite there being a few bathrooms. Noisy house, only partitioning between rooms, no walls. Very little privacy. No hairdryer.

−Please invest on changing shower heads. I understand these save water but they do not make taking a shower enjoyable.

+Not much really. The place was not clean, stains on the curtains, flies and ants in the kitchen, peeling paint on the doors.
−First night we hardly slept. When we arrived, all the windows and doors were open and we were not alerted that there were bats We spent most of the night trying to get rid of bats. When we reported to the owner, she just brushed us off and told us to keep the window shut to keep off the bays. She never even bothered to come and see how we were doing. On the page, it says there is a washing machine, dryer, iron but none of these things were there. On our second day, we went out in wrinkled clothes as we could not find an iron and the host was not answering our calls or responded to our WhatsApp messages. If only it was indicated that it was a barn, not a house. The so called rooms have no privacy, you can hear other people turning in their beds, no doors just old stained curtains🥺🥺.
