“Amazing Birthday away”
+The area itself is absolutely gorgeous, the lake with the firepit sells itself, the hot tub and friendly neighbours aka donkeys are just an added bonus. It mixes home comfort with that little extra witchy cabin vibe! The whole place just felt so magical and took our breath away. Waking up felt like a blessing. The hosts were extremely helpful and they helped me make my partners birthday that much more special so that was greatly appreciated! Also just wanted to say that the decor was stunning and we even got to spot a kingfisher which made our visit!
−The lack of service, although un-needed for the true hideaway experience, was a let down. Understandably hard to just simply 'fix' but it would have made OUR stay that little bit better. A tv or even a projector would have added to its magic. Even just a little wifi box. In no means did it ruin our stay but just something we wanted to note, especially the idea of a little projector.

“Perfect little getaway!”
+Amazing few nights at this lovely little hideaway. If anything we could have stayed longer!! Everything you need to hand. Bed was comfy, all very clean, husband enjoyed fishing the lake whilst I chilled in the hot tub. Little visit by the farm dog who I fell in love with and had lots of cuddles! Could only get signal in one spot (as explained), but was perfect to get away from everyday life and turn off. Host’s answered questions and didn’t see anyone other than on arrival - but was to hand if needed I’m sure. Can’t wait to return some day.

“Perfect chilled weekend”
+Perfect weekend away, we managed to do some fishing and caught quite a lot! The whole place was very clean, tidy, cosy and very private. Had a lovely visit from your gorgeous dog too ☺️ thank you so much! Will definitely be returning.

“Relaxing couples getaway!”
+The location is great, easily accessible and very peaceful. The hut itself is well maintained and host was super helpful. Perfect location to relax and recharge. We had the privilege of a visit from one of the dogs, which was a bonus! Would happily book again.

“Our stay here was perfect for me and my partner to get away together somewhere quiet to wind down with beautiful sunsets”
+Lovely location and surroundings was really nice to get away and wind down in the countryside enjoying the view and wildlife!
−The only downside to the property is the lack of signal however it’s nice to get away from your phones and enjoy the property

“The perfect getaway!”
+Wow, wow, wow, what a beautiful location. The lakeside view was amazing, and we even took the little row boat out for a paddle. Although small the Herdsmans Hideaway is very cosy and has everything you need. It was so romantic my partner actually popped the question, I arrived as a girlfriend and left as a fiancé!! The perfect getaway!

“Really lovely enjoyed it very much so, a few things here and there but wouldnt stop me coming back.”
+Amazing location and beautiful setting, it was so peaceful with a good amount of wild life and just overall sense of calming. The keys were left in the door for us to arrive to and we didnt see anyone on our stay which for me is spot on not because Im anti-social but this was a weekend away from the kids and I just wanted to be left alone. I would stay again for sure.
−It does need some updating and maintenance. I'd question the set up before our arrival specifically on cleanliness but nothing that would make me not want to come back. Would also question the basket of logs (5-7) soft logs in my eyes isnt a basket.

“Beautiful ... without the barking !”
+The location was beautiful but the barking dogs from the farmhouse was a constant distraction - a great shame as it was in such an Ideallic location.
