“Traditional atmosphere. Cozy and friendly.”
+Quaint inn with breakfast and supper included with guests being served from lazy Susanne tables. Service great. Traditional values. Library, spectacular views, no frills rooms. Established 1952. Innkeeper lovely man. Close to GSMNP, GSMR, Bryson City and Cherokee. Lovely winery very close but they will be closing at the end of the year. Inn will celebrate 75 years next year. Great lobby/dining area with real wood burning fireplace. Plenty of old fashioned charm.

+I really loved the atmosphere of the place. It’s located on a mountain. The staff were very friendly and attentive to every request. Dinner began with the ringing of a bell and a welcome from the owner, and we sat around a round table,a great opportunity to chat and get to know other guests.
−. The rooms and their facilities are a bit dated.

“We enjoyed a quiet get away & treated like family in a warm, family oriented atmosphere.”
+Breakfast was delicious! A cozy fire in the fireplace, a warm, friendly atmosphere with a self- serve coffee bar so we were able to drink coffee whenever we wanted.
−No complaints. Wonderful experience!

“Unique and Special.”
+Mort and his staff of young men and women were just exceptional in every way. Courtesy, manners, willingness to serve and help, was A+. Breakfast and dinner meals at the round tables were unique, delicious, and the fellowship amazing. Would hope to be able to go again soon.
−It rained heavily on our second full day, but was still a pleasant adventure.

“Bryson City Stay”
+Memories from visiting 30 years ago. The owners have continued to maintain the original quaintness of the inn. Period furnishings and no TV. Booking. com listed dinner on Sunday which they do not serve, but did reimburse that meal. Breakfast was as we remembered with dinner bell and prayer. Haven't had red-eye gravy in a long time. So good!
−Had we known ahead of time there was no dinner, we could have stopped on the way instead of going back out to town.

+It's a step back in time. I love it. It's rustic. The staff is wonderful. The breakfast and supper is amazing and you get to meet a lot of good people. It's very family oriented and communal. I highly recommend it to get away and reconnect with yourself and others
