“SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM”
+SCAM The property did not exist
−SCAM From booking I had tried to contact the host to find out more information about the property and to edit my guests, to no avail. Booking.com suggested, after numerous conversations and their attempts to contact them, to head to the property to check in anyway. Only to find my concerns to be true, the holiday didn’t exist! We arrived for check in, 2 adults 4 children and a dog, for 15:00 and didn’t get in to other accommodation (that we sourced) until 20:00. Booking.com were aware of my concerns from the get go and failed to reallocate to our needs and wants in accordance to our original booking. With Further investigations by us whilst waiting for them to get back to us we found Heaven Haven had popped up on other reviews on booking.com with the same issues, even after I’d specifically asked them if heaven haven had ever been flagged up at all before ! There response was that they weren’t aware of anything. 1 full day of our holiday was wasted! Still going through the process to be compensated.

“Overal the caravan was a nice size just a shame about the state of it. Wouldn’t book to stay here again.”
+It was spacious and the host was easy enough to get hold of through their number not through booking.com the location was lovely.
−The property wasn’t clean, there was a stain on the carpet the radiators in the bathroom could do with a good clean. There was a crack on the toilet seat and a hole in the wall. (Looked like it had been punched)

+Good location, nice caravan, spacious. Pleasant and helpful owner. Parking and wifi good.
−I had to call the owner to access. She mentioned an app that had instructions but I’d not heard of that, going through booking.com. Also, the property guide said it came with toiletries, toilet roll, a hairdryer - there was nothing like that. We had to buy own tea and coffee, washing up liquid etc. To improve this I think the guides need to be shared better through booking.com, and perhaps it’s not a good place to stay for just the 1 night.

−We had to ring the owner for the key code. The key lock box could not be found, and we had to call again to find it was hidden in a bucket at the front of the property. The decking clearly had not been swept for some time. While the van itself was clean they had not hoovered under the chairs. Outside there were only two chairs on the veranda, one of which had no cushion, the other had one threadbare cushion. There were no bath towels, although we were told there would be, we found two small hand towels underneath the bed. There was a small radio but no mains lead and no batteries in it. We found the rooms to be cramped, and the van smelt ‘musty’.The wifi was intermittent, which was frustrating as it was needed for work purposes. Not the fault of the owners of the van but the neighbours were very noisy and loud, until the early hours of the morning. There were no instructions for any of the equipment. All in all, this was not an enjoyable stay, we booked for three nights but left after two.
