“Location saves it for one night but without overpaying.”
+Location: close to the airport bus. Bed was comfortable and the aircon worked fine. WiFi was good and there were two lockers, big and small.
−I booked the bed in a 10-bed room, online. When I paid at front desk and showed to the room I realized that it was a room with more beds. I certainly let it know the lady that it wasn’t the room I paid for. She told me not to worry, that there were just four people there. As it looked pretty quiet, I relented and decided to stay there. And yes, as the day passed more people checked in and more beds were occupied… I think they do it frequently. They take more money for the room with less beds and then they just use the room with more beds… I would call it cheating, or extortion… I don’t know, do they know salt and black pepper in Vietnam? Why there is no spices with breakfast? Just eggs, a piece of fruit, and toast if you want it. I don’t, I like banh mi bread better!

+Location wasn't too bad
−It had no atmosphere here...not like at Loopers Rooftop Hostel, the reception staff were not very friendly after I asked to switch dates due to having a motorbike accident on the way. I was expecting a fun lively environment and it just wasn't that and the vibe you get from the pictures didnt match the place. The washrooms are kind of out in the corridor, so when using the mirror etc anyone walking up and down the stairs can see you...so it lacked privacy. I actually left and didn't complete my stay there...when I went to cancel the booking it was 6.20pm (20minutes past the cancellation time) and they charged me 50% of a 4 day stay...not the best 🤷‍♂️

“Not enjoyable stay. Avoid.”
+The location was ok in Old Quarter. Breakfast was made on request and it was good. Apart from these two points I didn't like my stay. See below.
−This hostel is nothing like the description/photos and reviews on the booking platform. Staff was not very welcoming, just annoyed. My key to my locker didn't work and nothing was done to help. No keys to the door to the dormitory. I'll pass on the fact that there was an overcharge to be in the female dorm, so I ended up in the male's. Not ideal. Cleanliness isn't the first word that comes to my mind. Toilets were bad. Not recommending this place, unless you are desperate.

“Cheap Stay”
+It was very affordable. Near many restaurants. I booked it just to freshen up before my trip to Sapa since the sleeper bus was just 3min away by walk.
−The hostel was very old. The bathroom for women was dirty and it really needed proper cleaning. There was no lift. It was okay to stay for a night or two but not for long term unless you are really trying to save money then you have to compromise on comfort.
