+Comfortable, quiet room, tastefully and practically furnished, above a beautifully restored Victorian pub. Good breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Just next to Herne Hill rail station, which has direct trains to and from St. Pancras International (Eurostar) and Central London. Lively Sunday market in front of the station. Large, airy park just round the corner. Pleasant area with good bus connections across South London. The excellent Dulwich Picture Gallery is within 20 minutes' walk.
−Rooms are upstairs and there's no lift - not a problem for me but might be for some. Like the pub, the hotel part is locked up for the night at 11 pm. There's a night entrance for hotel guests, but you must have your key card with you to get in. And I'd recommend taking the hotel's phone number with you. The night entrance is worryingly difficult to find if you're there for the first time. Clearer explanation of this needed. The pub's so beautiful and cosy (especially the snug) that the loud piped music is a pity. A wider selection of ales would be welcome.

−Very noisy at night bring your earplugs, sirens motor bikes trains bit tedious with the jet lag One of the receptionists was snappy with us when we asked for extra teabags and milk because for some reason we had missed having our room cleaned etc

“Excellent”
+Breakfast was delicious, great options a lovely area to sit in. The room was perfect, clean and spacious and the bed was very comfy. The shower was excellent. The staff were very nice and helpful.
−The only problem that we had were that the TVs in our room didn't work. The staff were very helpful but were not able to fix them. The live pub music was very loud below our room on Saturday night, I wasn't aware of this at the time I booked but they do make it clear and I shouldn't have expected any different staying in a pub in central London on a Saturday night! The music finished promptly at 12am.

+Lovely vibe friendly staff, clean, great aircon and shower in room. Teas coffeepods fluffy robes. Cosy bed. Breakfast super range of optiond. In a great location next to station but soundproofing excellent. Local shops, cafés and park all good quality

“All in all a comfortable stay with lovely staff.”
+Bed was small but comfortable and great pillows. Nice products in the room and the coffee machine with milk was fab. Excellent breakfast in a lovely setting.
−Door was broken on cupboard and there was no hairdryer which made a shower problematic. Nowhere to park a car to do drop off which made it difficult.
