“Our stay was amazing and worth every penny”
+The meals were so good. The breakfast I enjoyed very much. The private onsen was amazing. The staff were very accommodating and helpful when we had questions. Even before we arrived they were answering my questions with transportation.
−The only thing I didn't like was that I had to leave and couldn't stay longer.

“Wonderful experience in a traditional ryokan in Hakone! Highly recommend.”
+We had one host who looked after us during our stay - check in, meals, luggage forwarding services - who was very friendly and helpful. The room had great mountain views and we enjoyed the traditional rooms and meals. The private onsen in our room was a nice treat!

“Perfection!”
+We arrived just before check-in at 3pm, were welcomed hospitably and given a beverage of our choice. They took us to our amazingly spacious room, gave us instructions and had us choose a seating time for dinner and breakfast, and then left us to enjoy the space. I absolutely LOVED the private onsen, the comfortable seating area in the room, and the spacious balcony. Our meals were special, offered in a private dining room. We know there were other people there, but we never really ran into anyone. So private and romantic!
−The ONLY thing that wasn't perfect was the hardness of the bed. Two other hotels in Japan had hard beds, so perhaps it is just a cultural difference.

“It was a beautiful, relaxing stay.”
+We loved the room and onsen. It exceeded our expectations, and we were extremely comfortable.
−The meals were a little adventurous for our tastes, but it’s okay. The staff was so kind and generous.

“A great place to relax and rest”
+Service was exceptional, we stayed there for 2 nights and both the breakfast and dinner kaiseki was exceptional. We ordered the children's meal as well for both breakfast and dinner, it was mainly fried foods, rice, salads and amazing sashimi. It's great if your kids are ok with fish and seafood. The in-room bath was warm and relaxing. The view was relaxing and amazing from our room.
−A bit far from public transport and on top of a hill. It's ok if you can get a lift from the staff to the nearest bus stop/station (which the services terminates 5pm), otherwise may need to get a taxi back.
