“The view was worth the climb”
+I stayed in the room on top floor (the one with the blue rafters) and I loved it. I choose Guesthouse Rustico and this room because of the views and they were amazing. I loved lying in the comfy bed with both windows, open feeling the cross breeze. The history of the building makes it even more special.
−The hosts are very honest about the stairs in the description of the accommodation and the instructions on how to find the property. I counted 94 to get from the main street up to the Guesthouse, and there are another 43 to get to the top floor room. The stairs up to the room are very steep and I was grateful that the cleaner was there when I arrived and help take my bag up. I was travelling solo and was nervous about carrying my bag down the stairs when I checked out, so half packed it, carried my packing cells down separately and packed the rest in the foyer. Easy solution. If you're fit and able, don't let the stairs put you off because they are stairs everywhere you go in Dubrovnik. And the top floor room is worth it because it's beautiful.

+The location was strategic. Lovro and team were really helpful. Very quick to respond and assist. The rooms were great. Cosy and comfortable. Lovro was really helpful in giving directions to Mount Srd.

“We had a wonderful stay at Rustico. The apartment was a lovely base for our trip.”
+The apartment felt comfortable and welcoming. It was lovely to have a relaxing place to return to after our days out, especially during such a memorable trip. Staying at Rustico added to the whole experience.
−Nothing comes to mind. We enjoyed our time there and have no complaints about our stay.

+I stayed in room 2 for 3 nights and was very impressed. The room was uniquely designed, even with ambient lighting behind the headboard! It had a great walk in shower, fridge coffee/tea, aircon & large TV, everything you needed for a comfortable stay. It was quiet at night. Also impressive was the contact with the owners/Lovro, which was reassuring. As for the steps, this applies to most of Dubrovnik and should be understood before booking accommodation in the old town.

“Charming, historic hotel in a good location”
+The location was exactly the place you need to be to see the best of Dubrovnik, as everything was easily walkable as we could see people walking the city walls from our window lol.
−The hotel was not what we are used to without anyone there it was find your own key and code for getting in and out but that was only cause we are used to staff being there all the time.
