+We were picked up from the harbour, which was super nice as 3 out of 4 of us had horrible seasick from the ferry. The host was super friendly. The facility was very good. We didn't have problem with the share toliet/bathroom and they were normally free when we wanted to use them. Puffins were just steps away and the island is just amazing!!
−Nothing!

“If you are going to Grímsey, I highly recommend Guesthouse Basar for your stay.”
+The house was extremely clean and beautifully located, walkable to every spot on Grímsey, and very close to the seabirds. The host was so kind and helpful. Breakfast was good and the coffee was excellent.
−Cannot think of one thing they could do better.

“an exceptional experience”
+I especially like the interaction with the hosts, which is not so common anymore on Iceland, and the possibility to wander through the guesthouse which gives the feeling of a spaceous accommodation, even with a small room. Furthermore coffee was available all day. And the host took care of transportation from the harbour to the guesthouse and back, and offered a lift to the different island locations.
−for me it was perfect

“The owners were wonderful and super accessible and made a warm and homey guesthouse. I'll be back.”
+I loved having a kitchen with pots, plates, microwave and refrigerator for the food I did bring. Did find there was a great restaurant on the island after all (Kirin) with great food and a small town feel. I loved the guesthouse. Had an inviting common area, warm inside. Gaga was wonderful and grew up on the island. She bent over backwards to be available and give rides should we want one. I did bring a car but found it unnecessary to get around but nice in my situation given my pile of photographic items and cold weather clothes. This island is amazing. Maybe the puffin capital of the planet. It is a great place to reflect in an incredible natural and wild setting with the wind, cliffs and openness.
−I like everything

“Guesthouse Básar is a comfortable and cozy stay on Grímsey, with friendly and generous owners.”
+The location on Grímsey was excellent, especially with views of the seabirds. The house is very well maintained and cost, with opportunities to use the kitchen and enjoy the sitting and dining rooms. The owners were kind and generous, including by always being available to give rides and to supply advice.
−No complaints!
