“Simple accomodation for high price”
+Very friendly staff. They tried to accommodate our early departure by bringing some breakfast to us. Super nice. Suuuuper cute dog. Good location, Central, close to ADO bus station. Overall nice vibes, with the garden, hammocks etc.
−We felt that Merida is pretty expensive in general, but still, for over 30€/night we expected more. The bed was very uncomfortable. Super hard bed. Uncomfortable pillows. The towels were super old. Hardly any electric outlets in room. Room super dark. Only way to get more light was to open the curtain of the glass room door, but then everyone could look inside. Stains on bed linen. The AC was super loud, rather weak and the control didn't work most of the time. "Asian style" bathroom with no shower cabin, just a shower curtain.. so the whole floor gets wet. Shower curtain is also poorly fixed and came down once. Lots of mosquitoes in the garden and reception area.

“Easy and safe option.”
+The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was fantastic, more than what I expected. There is a kitchen space with cooking utensils, oil and seasonings, with seating outside. The private bathroom was clean and appreciated. The bed was comfortable enough. The neighbourhood is quiet. Coco the dog (poodle mix) is adorable and just as friendly.
−Nothing to mention

“Guaya hostel - our home in Merida. You really feel at home. Because of the amazing people.”
+Sara and Hanno are truly the heart and soul of Guaya Hostel. We had a wonderful time with them. Great breakfasts - the best chef around :-) The room is beautiful. We really felt at home. We believe we will be back.
−A little far from the center, but therefore a quiet location. It is still a short walk to the center. And above all, the walk is safe even for female travelers. So, we liked everything.

“Perfect”
+Mooie kamer met balkon. Rustig maar toch op loopafstand van het centrum. Geen koelkast op de kamer maar er was een gemeenschappelijke koelkast beschikbaar. Lekker ontbijt.

“The chillest hostel in Merida”
+I loved the staff and volunteers, all very joyful and helpful ! The place is nice and very calm. Kitchen is good and there is a nice swimming pool. Special mention to Coco the dog for being such good host too. The bed are comfy, with AC during the night. Showers and toilets are clean. It's 4min walking from ADO bus station, I recommend !
