“Dreaming away on Cat Ba island with very friendly staff”
+Very friendly staff. Because it was a bit outside Cat Ba City, it was very calm at the homestay and very nice to relax. We also had a room on the top floor from which we had a beautiful ocean view.
−Nothing, everything was very nice!

“Highly recommend to stay here when on Cat Ba island”
+Very nice and serene place, with the most helpful staff. They helped us with transportation to and from Cat Ba, cruise booking, and scooter renting. The host speaks good english
−Bungalow was a little damp and the AC was dripping

“Lovely and peaceful place to visit!”
+The homestay is located in a small pretty neighborhood on the island, and is very quiet and peaceful. The homestay is well-maintained and the owners are extremely attentive to their guests.
−The breakfast was fairly small and boring. This is out of character for the rest of the inn.

+The pool was lovely. Also liked staying in a village for a change of scenery from Cat Ba town. Staff friendly and helpful.

+Beautiful garden and property, room has a big window facing the garden and walkway, nice clean pool, great breakfast. Friendly staff! There is a sign to pay cash at checkout. We did not see the sign and couldnt remember they told us during our stay. We did not have any cash because its the last day in vietnam. They organized a cars reader and we were able to pay by card in the end. They were friendly and tried to find a solution even if it had been partly our fault.

+We LOVED our stay here! This is a true homestay since the family who runs it lives on-site. On the other hand it feels very private and with the pool, the kitchen and the help from Hanna who manages the place, it has all the amenities from a good hotel. Should you come to CatBa and feel comfortable renting a scooter or hiring a car, this is the perfect place to stay! Cat Ba town is about 15min by scooter and the beaches are just a little further. We had one of the newer rooms (P8) in the back with a limited ocean view however this should not keep you from booking! The room was new, it was clean and homey. I really felt at home here.
−There is no mosquito net. I am allergic and asked for it in advance, asked again at night when it wasn't prepared when we arrived, they gabe us a too small net, the next day they installed a hool, but still the net was too small. This seemed a little strange and I do not comprehend how mosquito nets are such a diffficult thing in vietnam. But this is not particular to green homestay so it doesn't factor into my rating. The stay was still grreat. Even though we never got the net.

“Great Vietnamese Cultural Gem”
+Hospitality succeeded expectations. Communication with Hanna before and during our stay was exceptional. Hanna helped reserve local taxis, all day busy tour, transportation from Hanoi and to Ninh Binh, and cable car tickets. We loved the bungalows and the well manicured grounds. Breakfast was very good. The owners are very accommodating…even took the husbands fishing with him. And then cooked the fish for supper.
